What are yall's picks for the darkest, most sinister Phish shows?
I realize the term "darkest" is subjective, but i'd love to hear thoughts.

2009-08-07 gorge gin. no gin ending, just a dark loop
PS. Does anyone else find it odd that the spell checker on this site says Phish is mispelled? =)
Of 3.0, I would say 8/18/10 My Friend My Friend...maniacally evil.
09 Toyota park Second Set was heavy as hell and dark for Phish in my opinion. The spell checker is in your browser, not the individual site. Blame not the .net!

11/27/98.
Worcester cops were literally beating people down before the show. Alot of really trashed people walked into the centrum that night. The stage was set for a purification of the dark forces. I remember the show was red the whole night. Most likely just my memory, but it looked liked a satanic ritual. During Mike'sSong Jam, they flooded the first 15 rows--completely covered them---in fog. I mean if you were down there tripping hard, god help you. It looked cruel almost.
Dogs stole things and vultures, to me are always dark-esque tunes. That was in the first set. The second set was a schizophrenic display of a wipeout seuqe-fest with "mirror-in-the-bathroom" teases. I was tripping face and swore i met the devil that night. Face to face. it was dark and scary.
Phish definetely has always had the dark edge to an otherwise fun thing. Example is the Mr.miner part of hood and the dark part at the beginning of 'slave'. But it never seemed harmful, nor does it now....except...for 98-2000. I felt the darkness increase and increase with ever widening circles or careless behavior and fan interaction. It was not the phish i had come to know in previous years. It seems to have passed. Post Cypress was definetely a lighter phish, but a really boring one. They are now back in all thier glory. They seem to have turned the earth to get the proper shares of darnkness and of li--e-ight...
if you really want to know when it all really went to the dark side, ask mike. "gordon knew the moment when the stars all turned around"...
I frowned too. Now im smiling again.

@The_Good_Doctor said:ooo ooOo ooOoOoo! (raises hand and flails it in the air above head while jumping up and down) dubiyus i would ever so much love to see such a compilation of dark songs/dark segues/eerie jams. like the 12/29/94 bowie with the very sinister "here lassie... come here lassie" accompanied by dirty wicked evil bad and nasty whistling. (hair stands up on arms) if your friends put something like that together perhaps they can compile em all on a CD or for download. not sure if that'd be kosher or if that would be frowned on by the establishment. but boymangodshit i would LOVE to wrap my ears around such a beast.the jam segue of Carini > FYF was definitely on the sinister side.agreed.
