Its Election Day Tomorrow!!

Phish1 Permalink
Phish1 That's right people! Sorry... I'm a closet political freak! Up here in Maine, it's a pretty important election. Things could change drastically. They need to change, but not how our current gubernatorial front runner wants to change things. He's a scary man.

Anywho...get out there tomorrow!!!!

less spending and smaller government are the only way to get things back on track.

you can't spend your way out of a recession, and bigger gov't is never good.

obama is full of shit and socialism is NOT the way.

I agree..when I voted for pres. I knew whoever got it would be very unpopular. I live in Ohio and jobs and foreclosures are still peeking but gettin better..the economy is slowly turning around..I mean, it took 8 years for it to be totally destroyed, so it's not gonna get better overnight..my fear, and this is not hating on Repubs. but that party is being so vocal because if they win the house back on this, and because the economy is gaining ground, in two years at the Primary elections, they will say it was because of them and ride the wave back into the White House. The economy will get better, and they will then take credit for something they didn't do, and put us in this mess to begin with. the top 2% of the wealthiest peoples money does not get the economy back on track like the 98%'s people dollars floating around buying things..these are the folks that make the economy go round, not ones who invest it all and buy yachts...the little guy going to Walmart or Best Buy more then usual.

Pretty good president. Does anybody know how many terms he served?

It's foolish to say that one votes for "the lesser of two evils". We don't vote for evil, we vote for our rights, and we vote for the people who make those rights into law. Anyone reading this who lives in CA should vote YES on Prop. 19. LEGALIZATION. Which would be a HUGE step forward for Marijuana legalization (and taxation).

Taxes are good. Making our Government smaller in a country of 300 million people and then giving Wall Street that power and money is insane. Look at where we are. Unemployment is 9.2% (and in reality higher than that), two forever wars, a housing crisis, etc. Having said all this, of course massive corruption is involved in all of this. All the more reason to not just give up on democracy.

I think that's really good insight on the out come of these elections. However the wealthiest 2% are the people who control the flow of money. They have the power and make the decisions that effect lives.

Also, did you hear about this OH story?:

Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has launched an investigation after the owner of a McDonald’s restaurant in Canton, Ohio warned workers that they won’t receive any raises if Democrats win on Tuesday. When workers at the McDonald’s received their paycheck, they also received a note from the restaurant’s owner listing the Republican candidates to vote for. The McDonald’s owner wrote, “If the right people are elected we will be able to continue with raises and benefits at or above our present levels. If others are elected we will not."

If you disagree with me fine, if you vote you're alright by me. No matter how you vote.

I don't like how there spending mine and everyone elses money. Maybe we (the people) should spend some of their ( congresses paychecks) money and see how they'd like it. The only thing, that's our money too. Maybe congress should work for free since they got enough of our money in their pockets anyway.........

Gross generalizations accomplish nothing. My politics are liberal and I am far from blind about them. I keep up on the topics, I fact check, I have honest respectable discussions with people I work with that have different political views. And you know what, no name calling.

Sorry can't help myself, I am extremely political and have refrained from saying anything on these boards that would indicate that, but because it is election day one post won't hurt. I am refraining from posting a really long rant.
