about to mount up my poster from halloween and would like to put the stubs along the bottom which i left at howard johnsons in ac. if you can part with them send me a message. also looking for one amherst either day ptbm since i have both tm tix for collections sake.

Bit of a question, just since I didn't think I should start a new thread...Would anyone be willing to send the FLAC files of Set 2/Encore of 10/29 my way? Reason being, I got it off of LivePhish...but I didn't preview the 2nd Set so I didn't know it was encoded in..well, mono I guess. I saw someone else said the FLAC files were fine, though. I don't even really need the FLACs, just would like mp3s LivePhish quality that sound like they should.
Could anyone please maybe help?

Encoded in mono? I'm confused. Mono/stereo isn't a coding type. It's a connection/presentation format.Anyway, beyond that, what do you mean they're mono? All LivePhish recordings are soundboards, which are mixed (for lack of a better term) in stereo. Set I and Set II should not be different. They aren't in my collection. I've had no issues with 10/29.
I think you need to better explain the problem and exactly what you're hearing and then hopefully one of us can help you without anyone having to send you the set.

Oh, sorry I didn't mention that I got the show in mp3.But on some random google search, I saw someone had the same problem as me. Here's the problem exactly how it sounds in my itunes...just take a listen on the livephish website - pick any song in set I and any song in Set II and listen to the difference: Listen

I just conducted a little experiment. I listened to my originally archived FLACs (a couple 30 second clips from a couple songs in each set), listened to my converted ALACs (same clips), then scraped them down in mid-grade MP3s (again, same clips). I noticed only minimal differences at the MP3 level. There were some slight overall band volume differences, but no significant quality issues.Bear in mind this was the first 2 of 7 sets at this venue. It was likely a bit of an adaption process (as it is at most venues over multi-night runs). You can hear this a lot in the Amherst recordings from this year (it's more noticeable with indoor venue recordings than outdoor).
I also Googled what you mentioned. I got exactly one hit through various different searches. It was a single PT thread with 6 comments and a couple people sounding like idiots. Clearly this isn't a widespread problem. It may be an error that occurred while downloading, processing, or encoding the media files to/on your computer. Do you have them archived anywhere or is that your only copy?
Also, the LP link you posted yielded insignificant results as well. That audio has been hyper-compressed to allow for instant online streaming, so it's bound to sound less-than-stellar.
