Yes, it would have.

bostonron Permalink
bostonron I didn't post in this before, but since they've been back I've been able to cross a couple of things off:

The Gorge (2011)
MSG (2009, 2011 and 2012)
Colorado (2011 and 2012)
Did full New Years run in '11 and '12 (closest I came was 29th, 30th and 31st in '96)

My bucket list is pretty tight. I don't have a super long list. There are of course some things I still really want to do (within reason). Besides hitting prime venues I would like to meet one of the guys, preferably Trey and have a short (or long) conversation with them.

I've always been envious of seeing couple doing full tours/runs together. That would be really cool. To hit the road with someone you love and see every show in a tour.

EDIT: Europe would probably be #1 for me.

AnalogKid Permalink
AnalogKid I've been fortunate to see them in many excellent venues, festivals and states of consciousness. Got some really good song selections. I just haven't traveled very far from the Northeast to see them. I'd love to see a West Coast Show, preferably San Francisco or someplace in Oregon.

This is your song tooooooooo.

I did Telluride, I did the Southeast, done all of New Endgland and the area around it many times. I need to do a show in Virginia (preferably Hampton) and a pile of other states. Maryland, South Carolina, Deleware if they ever play there. More in the Midwest. I want to cross off more states, I think I'm at 15 or 18 or so. Some West coast shows like Greek, Mountain View, Gorge, etc.

I need an Icculus and a bunch of other songs, like Strange Design, Train song, Purple Rain, Skin It Back, etc.

And I want to get to 100 shows. 32 to go.

MiguelSanchez Permalink
MiguelSanchez in just under 70 shows, i have never actually caught a nye or halloween show. i saw the middle 2 nights of the ny run in '98, but never an actual nye show.

as for venues, i've got some good ones under my belt, msg, hampton, deer creek, alpine, lake wood, and although not a regular site, telluride state park. i still need to catch shows at these classic venues, red rocks, great woods, gorge, shoreline, the spectrum. i'd also like to make it up to portland, me, some of the smaller upstate ny venues, and really any smaller theater across the country.

now, for me, the biggest one would be to see phish play europe. the venues they play, the crowds, and style of playing there....right up my alley!

i'm not a setlist/stats whore, but i still need to get a harpua and forbins> mockingbird. I feel i've caught just about every other worthwhile song, unless we start dipping into stuff like caravan, the landlady, etc.

I have had a lot of high points in my Phish career, and done a lot of things people are listing (multiple festivals, tour overseas, meet the guys, hit shows by myself (which I love doing), etc)

I have a few things I would love though:
1) See some more "special" shows - NYE, Halloween or 30th anniversary shows
2) See them in venues I haven't - Red Rocks, The Gorge, Hampton mothership
3) Finish off getting show posters from each show I attended - I have most of them but am missing a few.
4) See a show on my birthday!

I would like to add that I would love to see a show with my dad. My dad has always been in to the dead (probably indirectly somehow chemicaly is the reason I like phish) and goes to furthur shows whenever there in town. I have given him every phish show I have downloaded. He has even told me he would be down to see them somewhere obscure so it could even be something as special as Red Rocks or Gorge because I know he would love to catch a show somewhere like that. I know they will probably be at Merrieweather sometime soon so that is always a good fall back plan, but really would love to see them with him some where different.

Phish1 Wow, great thread. What's fun from my perspective, looking at @yoursongtoo's list, is that other than 3 and 5, I've pretty much done it. And my first thought is this: god I hope you get all that because damn...it's fun, it's interesting, it's hard, it's amazing...and worth it. And most of the people here are good folk, and I wish nothing but fun for *all* of you...

That said:

1. Hang out with some .netters at a show and truly get to know some of you.
2. To meet all the boys at some point to simply say, "thank you". This band *literally* saved my life, and I want nothing more than to thank them.

And lastly...

3. Figure out what they are REALLY saying in YEM! I know, most folks like the fact that it hasn't been figured out, like to debate it, whatever. But I feel like I should know what to tell them when they inscribe those lyrics on my gravestone.

As someone who stared at the NYE 95 album cover for the past ten years I am literally going to have a dream come true for me. I CAN NOT WAIT!

However, I REALLY want to go out west and catch them at The Gorge which would be followed by a two night run at Horning's Hideout complete with campout, peacock chasing, and general weirdness.

I would also love to get a gamehenge show, but doubt it will ever happen.

What are the things you want to see, places you want to go, people you want to meet, songs you want to hear, etc. that you want to do before you die with respect to Phish? Feel free to include major ones that you've accomplished. I'll start:

1) Major Events - Having seen Halloween this year, I can cross that off the list. Now, NYE and NYD (completed in a couple weeks, and I'd love to be on the floor for the balloons on NYE, but we'll see about that one...), 4th of July, 11/11/11, and 12/12/12 (you just know they're going to do these), and the 30th anniversary (and other major anniversaries).
2) Attend a festival (hopefully in the northeast, and hopefully this summer).
3) See every show in a calendar year. Also, follow them around when I retire.
4) Go to a show without a ticket and get a free miracle. I know, I know, many of you have, but I've never done it, free or not.
5) Hang out with all four of the guys at the same time (and I know I will make a blabbering fool of myself).
6) Venues - MSG will be off the list in weeks. SPAC pavilion, MPP, The Gorge, Red Rocks, Jones Beach, Shoreline, Greek, The Mothership, and more I can't think of right now.
7) Be behind the stage for a show - this is going to be tough because I LOVE being in front...
8) Vermont - I want to see them play in Vermont, and specifically, Burlington. I wouldn't mind if it was unannounced, other another name, etc., but I want to see it.
9) Meet my future wife at a show/on tour (OK, so more of a convenient pipe dream, but still...).
10) Do a run by myself.
11) Tape a show.
12) Break the 100 show mark (kind of insignificant, but I want to). Tough to do starting a career and their touring schedule, but we'll see...
13) Get the official show poster for every show I attend.
14) Witness a Gamhenge/Dark Side type experience (not likely, but you just never know...).
15) Songs - Too many to list out.

Probably more things as well that I can't remember. Hell of a list, but hey, everyone can dream, right?! So, what's on your list?
