The sand was not appreciated and I apologize for that.

I thought it would be romantic, what the hell do I know? My first album was Metal Health for crying out loud. That should have been a warning sign right there.

Agreed. Hey, did any one else spend HOURS learning to draw EDDIE? I learned in like 7th or 8th grade. Needless to say that when "bookcover time" came I was a VERY popular kid.

gigglestik With my own money, in 1984 I saved up at age 11 to buy Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry and Ratt's Out of the Cellar at the same time but Dad had a jukebox business and always gave me extra 45 rpm records for as long as I can remember.

johnnyd Not sure exactly, but I am quite sure the first crop included:
Born In the USA (Bruce)
Raisin Hell (Run DMC)
1984 (The brothers Halen)
Survivor
The Real Roxanne (UTFO)

Pretty sure my first CDs were:
Pump (Aerosmith)
Vivid (Living Colour)

I had some record albums when I was a really little kid - the Davy Crockett Theme song and a lot of Beach Boys. Thriller was the first album of popular music that I remember in the house.

Edit: @gigglestik - Stay Hungry made an early appearance too.
