Some that come to mind that I've already seen are Shutter Island, The Machinist, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Inception, 1408.

1408 is an underrated film in my opinion. I was so mindf***ed by it the first time i saw it. but then again i was 15 and doing bong loads of salvia mixed with sour d. regardless i still love that movie.

it is really not too long but you will most certainly have to watch it twice

I have four words for you "bring out the gimp!!!!". Thst scene and the chase/fight, the ass rape, quoting the bible before a hit, plunging a needle of adrrenaline into the heart, etc, etc f*cked with my mind for sure. It wasn't a trippy movie but it was truly entertaining in a very different way when it first came out!

phishybanjo Chris Nolan is the director of Memento and Inception. One other movie that he did that didn't achieve much fame but I really like was The Prestige. Plus it's got David Bowie portraying Nicola Tesla. Can't get much more nerd-cool than that.

I thought that Planet Terror from that grindhouse double feature shit was pretty crazy.
I was heavily dosed when I saw it, and saw some crazy things. I'm sure its still crazy when sober, although I will never watch that shit again. Too many memories.

benevolution Waking Life isn't a mindf***, it's a mind-expander. A must-see especially for anyone who is really interested in dreams.

I just watched 28 Days Later for the first time last night and it was f***ing awesome, can't believe I never saw it.
