Get me into some good mindf*** movies.
Some that come to mind that I've already seen are Shutter Island, The Machinist, Fight Club, 12 Monkeys, Inception, 1408.
What are some of your favortite mindf*** films?

damn. it's not available on instant netflix otherwise i'd be watching it right now.
shrooms, regression to a single celled organism, sensory depravation tanks...
watch it
1408 is an underrated film in my opinion. I was so mindf***ed by it the first time i saw it. but then again i was 15 and doing bong loads of salvia mixed with sour d. regardless i still love that movie.
it is really not too long but you will most certainly have to watch it twice
I don't recommend it for everyone

My buddy recommended this to me without telling me what it was about. It was such an intelligently made movie and a great watch
TJohn Malkovich. American Beauty.damn, i had read half this thread and thought i was actually going to be the first to mention these two. first ones that came to mind. i'd say kudos, but clearly since you're a chargers fan i can't do that...

Mulholland Drive is by far my favorite mind f***
Human centipede Requiem for a Dream Old Yellerhuman centipede...is that the one where the scientist sews peoples mouths to peoples asses?
Those other movies are good, but Altered States is a real mind fcuk. seriouslyYou have convinced me, sir. And while I have the floor of the thread, may I suggest 'Delicatessen' and 'The City of Lost Children'

the chumscrubber
Here's a few more I would recommend, though...
THX 1138
Jacob's Ladder
Se7en (I never want to watch this movie again.)
Pi
I love Tarantino movies, but I don't see how Pulp Fiction or Reservoir dogs are mindf--k movies.I have four words for you "bring out the gimp!!!!". Thst scene and the chase/fight, the ass rape, quoting the bible before a hit, plunging a needle of adrrenaline into the heart, etc, etc f*cked with my mind for sure. It wasn't a trippy movie but it was truly entertaining in a very different way when it first came out!
Twin Peaks that is
Pink flamingos
Fire walk with me (prelude to twin peaks series)
Mod f*** explosion
wondershozen (yeah, it's a tv show but its really f***ed up)
Dark city
Logans run
I thought that Planet Terror from that grindhouse double feature shit was pretty crazy.
I was heavily dosed when I saw it, and saw some crazy things. I'm sure its still crazy when sober, although I will never watch that shit again. Too many memories.
Waking Life anyone?
This is great thread.

I just watched 28 Days Later for the first time last night and it was f***ing awesome, can't believe I never saw it.
Tideland. Starring Jeff Bridges (though mostly just as a rotting corpse). This is the most bizarre/f***ed up movie I have ever seenGood to see this one get mentioned. Terry Gilliam is the man.
