Hello .netters!My name's Ryan, I know a few of you out there know me, but some may not.
Recently i came up with the idea to create a playlist of all that music we love, other than Phish. There's been tons of Phish playlists on the forum, so why not one that excludes our own fab four?
So what I would like to do is compile a playlist on a flashdrive. I can mail the flashdrive to anyone who is interested in participating. I would like as many people to add to it as possible, so unfortunately I'm gonna limit each person to adding only 2 or 3 songs at most. And one more thing, if possible try to add songs by artists who aren't already on the list, variety is a good thing!
So please let me know if you're interested, and I'll start to make a list of who wants to be involved. Talk to me right here, and also pm me your address.
I'll let you all know here on the forum how things are going along the way and keep a list of the songs so far, and of course reveal the final product after it's all done!

No I wanted to send out a flashdrive to anyone who wanted to add some tunes, it might take a while to get a big playlist, but it'll be fun, kinda like the good old days when you had to wait for last weeks show to come in the mail!

those were the days. made some friends just trading tapes back in the mid to late 90's. remember the old newsletter. i still have all mine somewhere. id be game to throw a few on there.

And I didn't really think about how long it would go on or anything like that, just see where it goes and take it from there!

ya that looks like a good idea!So far no one has sent me a pm with their address, so whoever does first they can be the first on the list. then after that i can say who #1 is and the list of who sends to who can start.

Being an old man I'm all for old school, but have you considered using Spotify? Group playlists are really the coolest thing about this program. Someone would have to police the overzealous, but everyone could access and comment on the additions as they are added. Just a thought....

Hows this sound? I just got a few pm's, I'll send it out to the first person who sent one, then the flashdrive has instructions on what to do next. They simply are, "once you've added your songs PM me (rfwalters0808) for info on who to mail it to next."

So far I've got 10 people on the list.And ya i was thinkin somethin along those lines, Once I see theres no more interest in people joining and I get to the end of the line I can send it around again so everyone can copy the whole playlist to their computers.

Unfortunately there's gonna be a slight time setback on the playlist, but nothing more than a few days, It was lost in the mail but I'm gonna get another and resend it in better packaging so everything can get underway!
