Does anyone watch this? I love it and am super hyped for season2 premiere sunday!
Full Disclosure: I kinda got a thing about zombie movies, shows ect....
Just finished World War Z by max brooks. Cant wait for that movie to come out!
I can't wait for tomorrow!
Frank can always make a good thing happen on the screen.
the B-grade actors and consequently some of the acting kind of gets on my nervesAgreed. The acting ranges from melodramatic to plain bad. There were also some major editing gaffes in the first season.
BUT
I love all things zombie and I'll continue to watch every episode. Im dvr-ing it now. I never read the comics and Im dying to know what that scientist whispered to Rick at the end of season 1.
Read the trade paper backs! Totally different story line, way better than the show, so far IMHO. No spoilers, but you'd be surprised to read who dies in the first and second books. But the show still rules. I'm glad to see stuff like that on network TV. I will fo sho be watching the season premiere tomorrow.hahahaha i knew you'd be back! love ya Bro!

one way too look at it though is that this is about zombies, and most all classic zombie flicks are low brow low budget movies filmed with b list actors and actresses. so it is kinda fitting in a way.
All in all a nice suspenseful episode. Hiding under the cars while the herd passed through was tense.
And I've decided the only guy who can legitimately act is the badass with the crossbow. He's good.
Where's Merle??!!
@AltimusJones
I get that zombie stuff is inherently corny. I'm just not convinced that's what they're going for in this show. It feels like they're really trying to pull off legit drama but the performances and dialogue aren't hitting the mark for me. It reminds me a little of The Stand in that regard. I loved The Stand but I rolled my eyes almost the whole way through.

Love ya too bro! Good luck to you and all in the lotto. Lets Occupy MSG this NYE.
Back to the Walking Dead premiere, mehhh. But those coming attractions look very promising. I can already see some characters from the books that are going to be making an appearance. It should be a really good season.
the start of the 2nd season blew me away! i loved the first season, but i have a feeling this new one is gonna top it in all aspects. the 2 main cops act all John Wayne-ish and that's annoying, but i have a feeling they will pull it off.
my buddy also swears that the graphic novel is better, but from what he's said it's not the same story line as the novel.

But the bad acting or writing or whatever it is does get in the way of really loving the show, especially when you compare it to how great the acting on Breaking Bad is.
Long stretches of boring dialogue between characters you just don't care about. It's like watching a porn because you just have to skip over the pointless banter that leads up to the money scene with the zombies.
He got shot and was left for dead in the hospital when the dead started walking. The idea was basically ripped straight from 28 Days Later, but it is still entertaining.
Now, for the people who have watched from the start, I am afraid that is episode just took the show in the wrong direction.
Thoughts?

The Walking Dead is the best soap opera on TV right now!
@forbin1
I've been on a tear watching this show ever since I caught up with Breaking Bad. AMC has been putting great series out lately. But anyways, I'm two episodes away from being caught up (I believe) and I watch my episodes at projectfreetv. Just type it into google and it's the first website that comes up. It just provides links from different websites that you can watch the show from. It streams and the quality isn't anywhere near HD quality, but it suffices. Just choose the link that has a 100% "it works" or something like that. For episode 4 the link did not work on project free tv, so I just used to the website tv-links. Same procedure, and same idea for the website.
