Chris Robinson Brotherhood - Irving Plaza tonight

YorkvilleBeerLover I'm going with a buddy who saw them last year said they really cook - anyone else?

Gonna meet up at Pete's Tavern for a few pops pregame

Saw them at the State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ. Lets just say they were good but it was not at all close to crowded. Having assigned seating kinda made that annoying a bit. Enjoy the space.

gigglestik Just saw them here in Charleston last Friday, really great sound. I was expecting a lot of crowes songs but they only did two: "I Ain't Hidin" and a new one. They pulled off a sweet cover of "They Love Each Other" and did "Ride" and older solo song. I was impressed and they place was way overcrowded, like concerned-for-safety style.

YorkvilleBeerLover Love it - I've been listening to a few shows on sugarmegs and i like what I'm hearing - why not for 25 beans

Mr_Miner I saw him open for the J. Geils Band in August.....meh...it's not the Crowes.

YorkvilleBeerLover Yeah I was never a Crowes fan, never a Mud fan, never a CR fan...I tell you what, they were excellent. The key word is loosey goosey. I got a very "Legion of Mary" sans sax feel.
In no way I am comparing these guys to the level of Jerry, Merl, Khan, Fierro and Humprey - but I think their music comes from the same place.

I would say a nice group of musicians playing really loose - not bad for a thursday night in NYC and 25 bucks.

What I didn't like was the uber security guy who was on me and 1 other person instantly when we sparked up - I've never in my life experienced this at Irving Plaza.

PlainDan This will a good time. I saw them in Indy last winter, the other guitar player rocks and is good for some far away stares. They had Anders Osborne opening up and he and a lot of his band actually sat in the whole time. Hopefully you get something like that.

Just saw they are doing Athens for Halloween, thinking about making the trip to see my brother and a football game.

Enjoy!
