prostate milkingbeautiful phrase! one up for you, sir. I would give you 1000 if I could.
Craigslist is a pickup deal so its pretty hard to get screwed.
No thanks, bought all my Gorge tickets off Craigslist for under face, one night of UIC for 90$ which ended up being a deal for the time. Craigslist is a pickup deal so its pretty hard to get screwed.reading everything on here it looks like it's rather easy to get screwed.
Gorge tix were everywhere this year...and cheap.
@JackStrawDan said:I mean you go and pick the tickets up personally and hand the person your cash, if the tickets a print off just say no. Also I feel a persons body language would be pretty shady if they were scamming you face to face when you met them, especially if it were at their place which is where I've always gone. And they'd have to be pretty damn crafty to replicate a hard PTBM.No thanks, bought all my Gorge tickets off Craigslist for under face, one night of UIC for 90$ which ended up being a deal for the time. I also bought $400 dollar bass head, hockey jersey, and a handful of other tickets on Craigslist. I never felt like I was ever gonna get scammed, the only bad part about Craigslist is how awkward it is going to the persons apartment or house. So for me Chicago craigslist has been great over the years.
@mr_miner did you meet in person? PS is a wonderful musician, but he's not selling out MSG for NYE in under 5 minutes anymore (IF he ever did).
I guess I shouldn't be suprised about how gullible some people are.

I have 4 extras in section 2 for the first night
Anybody have anything good to trade? I already have the other 3 nights and if I just write "best offer" there are some bitter people flagging it. So no cash offers. Just cool trades...vinyl...art...etc...
What do you all make of something like this? Probably should have hit up cashortrade...
@mr_miner did you meet in person? It should be a given that you never do a craigslist deal without meeting in person.
I bought lots and lots of discount lift tickets off of craigslist two winters ago and never had a problem. Care to guess why? If you guessed "because you met them in person" you'd be right!
It fascinates me how we can let our guard down once we hear what we want from the other person.
@mangobrain ..........if you are asking if people will get pissed at this trade, I don't think so......if you are asking if it's fair, I'd say definitely............btw I have some tight Jumbie art if you are interested and some shit that I can only label as "Psychedelic China" but that's up for debate......Despite the obvious scamming, I just hesitate to demonize anything from the get-go. I came across this, and it seemed fair, so I figured that I'd post it here to see what people thought. If I had extras, on the other hand, I'd offer them first to friends back home, then to the good people of .net, probably for a trade.
@momadan CL works great for stuff like that. I have used CL for fish tanks, fish, bass guitars, home brewing equipment and toys for my boys. NOT ONCE WAS THERE AN ISSUE.
The point here was just to not be a broke a$$ moron trying to save $30 on a ticket and finding out you're getting scammed...becuase by the time you realize it, it's already too late...
If you are smart about it you should not get ripped off and always met face to face. I have also had the same kind of luck with cashortrade. I always start there but when looking to buy from the secondary market, the local CL is sometimes better than being 1 of 100 people going after the same tickets on cashortrade.
im going to keep using it too
I got a great hummer from a girl who need money for tuition the other day
Have met a couple cool dudes I still stay in touch with and am stoked to see at shows.
Got a Hampton ticket even for a poster trade.
I always do phone numbers right off the bat and talk to the seller for a bit.
Abundantly clear right off the bat in my opinion if fan or not.
Likewise, I have had to sell a couple of times, at face, and never had an issue.
