I did notice that people were sitting down for that song. I think I remarked to my brother "This must be a make-out song."

I'm from the burbs, about 15 minutes from Quakertown.Yeah me too! Telford. In the larger world I generally tell people I'm from "near Philadelphia" but then they always start naming towns that are way way further south and closer to the city, and I have to concede that it's really not that close to Philly at all. But it's still the closest major city. Even though it's pretty darn rural out in our neck of the woods.
11/24/09 was a doozie...My head is still recovering from that show
both nights were awesome....had a grand time myself
Telford-> Pittsburgh-> Seoul-> Pittsburgh-> New Haven-> DC-> Toronto.
Hopefully this is the last stop for a while. I want to put down some roots and make some dual citizen babies.

Upper Darby (610) 924-0441 tomorrow night Dec 7 if any one is in the area worth checking out
Apparently one of our netters (can't spell his handle to save my life, something like ADAWGYO) has a new restaurant on Pitt campus. I can't wait to check it out.
The only other place I've lived other than PA is Colorado. Beautiful state.

Seoul? Wow that's random. What was it like living there?I went to Seoul after college to work as an English teacher. Easy job to get if you have a college degree and a pulse. It was lots of fun. Great food and beautiful women who throw themselves at you. Some epic Asian adventures. But one year was enough. I also spent three months in Tokyo a few years later, forgot to include that on the list. I think I'm a lifelong Asiaphile, but I don't really want to spend my whole life as an expat (I'm assuming that being an American in Canada doesn't really count as "expat"
The only other place I've lived other than PA is Colorado. Beautiful state.
. It's enough for me to live in a city with a large Asian population and great restaurants. Toronto is a wonderful place to live for anyone who's obsessed with foreign countries. 50% of the population here is born outside of Canada and you can find anything. I love this town.
Don't live there live outside AC about 40 min from Philly. But my dad used to live in upper Darby most relatives also live in upper Darby but most moved to broomall pa. Saw my first dead show at the spectrum in 93 an first phish show at Philly civic center in 94. Been to pertymuch every phish show in Philly area except 95 an 96. Also have friends that live near fish town so def have alot of love for Philly seen some of my favorite shows there an have been goin there since I was young.
Is this one of those programs? Would you recommend it? my little bro was looking into something like this.
If you go on your own, you have to pay for your own plane ticket, but you have the freedom to find a good place. You go on a tourist visa, and then when you find a job, generally they will pay for you to fly to Japan for a day or two to re-enter Korea on a work visa.
Feel free to PM me if your bro wants more detailed info. But it was already 12 years ago that I did this, so the scene may have evolved some since then.
HA! sorry dude, I have to tell this story now:
years ago my friends and I used to play an acoustic happy hour at Maggie O'Neils. We would watch the faces of bands that, after lugging their shit up a flight of steps and turning the corner, saw us and realized they would have to wait another hour or 2 until we were finished in order to set up. Usually this meant they were pissed.
Acez back to back was one of those bands one night. Some dude in Aces came up to us, infuriated that they weren't able to set up and began yelling at us during our first set break, as if we had anything to do with booking and/or ran the place.
He kept yelling/asking "Does Billy know about this?!" We have no idea who said Billy was ( and no one from the bar was named Billy)
To this day me and my buddies will yell this at each other when making plans or find out big news.
I'll try to swing up there tomorrow night (live in Delaware but work in PA)
Seoul? Wow that's random. What was it like living there?Me too. I lived in Lakewood for a couple years then lived in the Wash Park area of Denver for a few years as well. Moved back to Philly Burbs in 2007. I certainly miss the state especially the amazing sunsets on a daily basis.
The only other place I've lived other than PA is Colorado. Beautiful state.
The union jacks that was mentioned earlier, is that the same on thats in manayunk? If so that bar is the tits. Flat rock is also good
