I have 700 dollars saved up I have all my tickets and I owe 255 dollars on my hotel room. To .net standards is this enough for a succesful Phish weekend in NYC for NYE? How much did yall spend last year?
Just off the top of my head, I'm gonna go with $350 for 4 days, 3 nights, unless I find some more cash between now and the 28th. I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope that will get me enough food, drink, and possible unmentionables.
*sorry for sayin' "just sayin".
still gotta pay for transportation and food/miscellaneous substances
You'll be fine.
Hopefully I won't have to spend more than $100 for the two shows im hitting
not that he can't, he's wise enough not to.
Any decent sit down meal will be 20$ at the very least. 2 or 3 of those a day + goodies, travel, etc. It would be tough especially around NYE.
U can't afford to spend 100 bucks over two nights in NYC? That's weakthat's reality..

It would be hard to live off 100$ for two nights/three days in the city.I've found plenty of places where you can eat for under $20 per meal. Have you seen Anthony Bourdain's new show "The Layover"? He did one in New York, even though its his hometown. 90% of the places he went to are under $20 per meal type of places. Granted, he didn't rock star it in K-town, or go to Peter Luger's. He went to places like Baohaus, The Burger Joint in the Le Parker Meridien Hotel, Crif Dog, Shake Shack, Papaya King....all under $20 per meal. Yeah, it's hot dogs and burgers, but f***....that's all I need to keep me going over 4 days of debauchery.

If you smoke cigarettes I'd get them before you get to NY last time i was there they were 14 bucks a pack.

On the other hand when asked the "best place to eat for 15$" he has a few suggestions but said it's pretty hard to come by a decent meal for under 15$ in NY. Well since I'll be with my other 17 year old friend the whole time, I don't think we're going to have many drinks at nice sit-down restaurants :p

Luckily if shit hits the fan, I have my bank account or a credit card to fall back on. But the cash I bring in hand should be enough.
I know a lot of you guys make a whole trip out of it, but for me it is Phish show, lots of sleep, food getting read, phish show, etc etc. Maybe one or two things in between but probably not really much.

Dude, $100 is a fortune for 2 days. Little known fact, you can go without food for 2 days and live.or you can get a few slices of pizza anywhere for next to nothing.

4 quarters...enough to buy gumballs upon exiting all 4 shows
I'll be fine with No Quarter.
Just be smart and realize it's a city that can make u or break u.
When I lived there it broke me.
But this year I'm staying on Trey's couch.

Shit back when I used to walk up hill both ways barefoot in the snow to shows, literally the only cash outlays were ticket and gas. Yes, even for NYE runs in the city. You'll be fine.definitely agree. and this kind of mentality leads to some of the most amazing experiences... the trick was to surrender to the flow.
and money wise, I hope to only have to spend 600 to 1000 for a grand ole party. could spend more if needed, but I'm banking on that working out fine.
I have all my tickets, and apartment is paid for. so no worries there... so yeah, just planning to do lots of stuff, pre and post shows... and then the meetups, etc.
and like someone said, you dont have to spend a lot of money hanging out at a bar...

No cash. Just a bunch of gift cards for Best Buy, Lowes, Meijer...etc. Can I get hookers and coke at Target?
No, looks like it's baby oil and off-name brand cola for you.
750 for 4 nights. already got most goodies.
Tickets and accomadations already taken care of? Then I say $1000 at least... Thats your play money:food, drinks, party favors...
