This year has been an amazing year for me. Got a job, got love, got shelter and saw an epic amount of phish. Now seeing the epic amount of phish would not have been possible without the kindness and awesomeness of some .net members.
Let's face it: the internet is a scary, big, and worse yet, anonymous place. It's hard to gauge whether or not someone on the internet is going to be honest, come through, keep up their end of the bargain etc. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a thread devoted to .netters who are known to be awesome?
I propose people share their POSITIVE stories involving trades or favors done by .netters. It's a great way to pay thanks to people who have helped out the community by perpetuating a positive image for our whole scene. Also its a great way to help ease someone who may not be as familiar with some .netters as others and could be nervous making a deal on the internet.
***Once again I'd like to say - KEEP THESE POSITIVE not that we shouldn't hold people who screw others accountable - I just feel like negativity would take away from the purpose of this thread.
@Jd1975 - had extras for a show and had been looking for a NYE print from last year forever for my gf. It was her first show and really special to her. She's very artsy and has a print for all 15 of the other show's she'd been to. Jd helped me the trade happen. She was a very very happy lady. Greatly appreciated.
@themefromthepossum - sold me my 28th tickets for face. I was worried about using paypal and him shipping them especially because the tickets didn't ship until December but he stuck to his word and made the deal a month after we talked about it. Got the tickets and was able to be an example of someone managing all four nights for face. Greatly appreciated.
@photo420 - hooked me up with tix for 12.30 - thanks again!
Nice thread, I love .net
@Stuphoria hooked me up with 2 29th tickets, one in which I'm trading for a 28th for a friend
CoT hooked me up with a 29th for a friend, we worked a vinyl trade into the deal
and a friend is hooking me up with a 29th
and I actually got a 30th through TM
NYE will be viewed from the couch at a friend's party in the country in CT
all and all - good, positive ticket finding experiences
THANKS EVERYONE that helped make it happen!
i started a thread in may asking if anyone could give me a ride from NYC to PNC. @mellifluouslife, who i havent seen around here in a while, came through with flying colors. he, his wife and I shared a ride, shared beers and shared stories of past experiences. i had a great time with them. it was as if we had known each other for years.
got my 28th tix courtesy of @captainpookie. he already had his ptbms, but he went online on the day of the ticketmaster frenzy and was able to get through when i was not. he called me, i gave him my info. tix arrived at my door a month later
got my 29th tix from @forbin1. he saw me nonchalantly mention in a random thread that i was looking to go to the 29th. that same day, he sent me a pm asking if i wanted his 2 extra 29th's.
and finally, got my NYE tix courtesy of @sprachtor. he told me way back before the lottery and ticketmaster that if he scored any extras...that two of them would be mine. when i struck out with ticketmaster i got a pm that afternoon saying, "dont worry, i got you".
if it werent for the kindness of .netters, i would either (A)not be going to any of the upcoming shows or (B)be searching cash or trade and making ISO threads.
i have thanked all of you on more than one occasion.....but theres always a good reason to say it again. So thank you and happy new year!
@strangedesign designed some beer labels for my homebrew. Also a very chill .netter
@edsullivan genuinely kind and hilarious guy.
@johnnyd he's the real deal, and not just because he's got a fish by his name.
@slambomartinez. Hilarious, down to earth kid
@spencur6 and the rest of his crew with hard to mention user names, all great kids to hang with.
There are a lot more, but these are regular .netters I've interacted with in real life.
@2incommand hooked me up with 2 SPAC2 Thanks again!
@slambomartinez another great person to be with on lot, and also very photogenic with is wasted face.
@tripsforjoeg was able to help take my friends pit tickets of me at DC.
@Blackeydsloth, Hooked me up with a massive amount of Phish shows on cd a little over a year ago, when I first joined. That really opened my eyes to how awesome this community really is. I also have to than you for helping me with NYE Run ticket grovel! And I'm very happy I could help you out as well.
@greezy_fizeek Held on to a 30th ticket for me last year and waited outside the venue for me to get there when all of his buddies were trying to go in. Thanks a lot for that my friend, and thanks for letting me send you the rest of my cash in the mail!
@HARRYHOOD213, Thank you so much for the hookup on the 28th this year. It was very relieving scoring a ticket that fast, and motivated the shit out of me to get the rest of my tickets. Only need NYE now!
@Dirty_M_The_Wizard is great peeps. He now goes to school with my buddy so we've chilled a few times and got to rage Primus in Niagra Falls together. This dude also plays in a sick band as some of you may know, The New Daze. Check them out!
@conradjohansen, Me and this guy hae only crossed paths a few times and talked for a bit, still have to really chill with him! Although I know most of you already know he's good peoples.
Many more of you I already know are great people but I have yet to meet you! The list could go on but hopefully I'll catch up with you guys one day!
@GooliaJigby gave me (for FREE) her Lakewood pav this year. You remember the ticket drought madness at Lakewood, right? Well, @GooliaJigby's boyfriend @nicculus_george and friend @floydianslip could have sold that ticket SUPER easily and not worried about meeting up with me in the lot, but they saved that beautiful PTBM for me. And they gave me a tasty treat with it too.
Nice, kind folks. Many blessings to them!
The GM thread folks helped calm my nerves about my parents' health and are always so funny and kind.
@johnnyd... exceedingly awesome + helping me with a job search
@Pweso81 and @JimmyMac03 sharing ticket opportunities with me
so, for all the ones that manage and maintain the forum...they deserve a big thanks....@admins
Also to to the people that i have meet through this forum...I got to hang with @happy_happy_allmyfriends and met him first in Camden when he hooked me up with some kick ass stickers pre- SBIX that he made just for his crew, but offered them to me...Then hooked me up this fall with the soupergroove fest and we chilled together and partied like it was 1999...
@darkstar was the next person i got to meet and camp together with him @og_pinecones and two other dot netters for AC.
Also at AC i met several others such as @the_Crested_Hogchoker, @GhettoSloth, @Commander_riker and several others (but due to LSD) i dont remember all of their screen names...
I also have to say how much fun it was meeting @DJPhresh and hanging out at the soupergroove fest and him sharing his great beer and stuff...
what a great year it has been and look forward to meeting a bunch more of the great folks on dot net next summer at the 30yr summer festival or AC, Camden, Philly or any other show i can get me ass to....
and i cant forget @the_Landlady for helping with my JoonzeBeach Tshirts and a few other designs....She rocks...you need to check out her designs and buy a shirt from her if you didnt already...
Here is a picture of Austin (Ryan's son) and Ryan's wife/Austin's mom Cara with the drumsticks from the LBC show, donated by the winner of the Mimi Fishman Foundation Auction. In total, Phish fans alone have raised over $4,000 for Austin and the trust has grown to over $20,000. Please keep in mind, this whole idea to donate to Austin and his education was started 100% grassroots by Phish fans. More and more people and family members heard about it and it grew amazingly fast. Without you guys, this simply would not have happened. I am so lucky ... WE are so lucky ... to have you in our lives. Thank you. And whatever you do, take care of your shoes...
@johnnyd hooking me up with some tasty Heady Topper!!
Can't wait to meet some of you's... Will be my first tour that I'm a net poster
Too many little favors and kind deeds to recall them all. That's what this community is. But, my first and favorite show partner, one who is down to lace up his shoes and do what needs doing, a true fan of what music can do, and who can put up with my chaotic methods is @Rutherford_B_Raves.
@KindTrades @SydNashun and @DanceTheJig728 helped make this past summer unforgettable. Random meet-ups, solid transactions should any have occurred, getting me 2nd row N2 of SPAC, and just giving me a big effin' grin every time I see their crazy asses. Those that know how to party, and get loose, socialize and dance but who are ultimately there to experience musical transcendence of the highest order. See you guys in NYC.
@golden_gorilla is a stand-up gal who just happens to be in the Indy neighborhood. She came to a meeting place more convenient for me than her, and was happy to do so for a face KC ticket. Hope to see her again on NYE.
@Bones is new to the scene. Still a teenager until December, but after seeing one show at Bonnaroo, she made it with me to DC, STL, OKC, and Dicks, and will be making the journey to NYC before long. Great companion, with all the joy and enthusiasm that comes from freshly falling in love with this band. I love being able to witness someone's "I get it now" show. Makes me see it all with new eyes and hear it with new ears.
Oh, and Steve from Cashiers, NC--it was a pleasure to share a hotel in Birmingham, the drive to Atlanta, and the show there. Stand up guy even when he's sitting down.
Amanda from OH--thanks for the ride from KC--you really saved my ass!!!
And, for those folks that I've been in touch with, I've succeeded in landing all four nights, so I'm set. Worked my ass off trying to make deals since oct. 20 and it's finally paid off. What a great community! Can't wait to see all my new phish family friends, and meet some more.

@London_Oakley is my new tour buddy among other things. Should be on everyone's good .netter list.
I would also like to include everyone who shipped me beer in the lotto thread. If you are looking for people who will follow through on an internet deal, these are good people. @weekapaug19, @YorkvilleBeerLover, @chrism27, @mavisdavis, @mattbillionaire, @birmy, @rutherford_b_raves, @whitechocolatethunder
@magilla94 welcomed me into his crew for 3 nights at AC this summer. Awesome guy.
@conphucius is an amazing person with a heart of gold.
There are too many people here to list the various positive, kind things I've seen and/or heard about on a day-to-day basis, but the amount of good people on this board continues to astound me.
@the_Landlady - for not only hooking me up with a ticket to StarLake, but also scored me a ride AND a free awesome tee-shirt for my son! You are a rocking cool chick.
@missnattyp -- Hooking up myself, my best friend and @bostonron with 3-three day field passes to Dicks. YOU my dear are truly an angel.
GM Crew - you boys and girls have gotten me through some exciting and awful moments. Keep on keepin' on !
Trev's House -- you are the wisest and kindest group of people I have met in this crazy Show of Life.
Last but never least, @bostonron for simply being in my life.
