After everything we went through with the scamming. We get to msg and we had counterfeit tickets. I might find the kid who sold me the tickets and beat him up

Damn that's too bad, I feel for you as well. Sand bagging sonsabitches.I really wish there was some sort of way to confirm whether the ticket is good or not. Of course there would still be ways around this issue but even having an online site to enter the ticket #, or a phone number to call. You could call say, 15 minutes before you go to the gates to make sure no one else has already used the ticket, and of course to make sure it's a legitimate ticket.
I still don't get why there isn't some way to confirm...would it really be that hard to do in real time given the technology we have today?

Same thing here, kind of. After the whole scam ordeal, I finally secured a trade to trade my 4 Floors + cash for 4 100s and 2 300s. Met up in the city the other day to exchange, seemed like a super cool guy. Got to the door, and 2 of the tickets had been "cancelled and reprinted" by the owner. No one could help out, and then they refused to try and cancel my floors. Super bummed but you win some you lose some! I definitely saw A LOT of people walking away with fake tickets though...

I did not buy tickets from a scalper outside of MSG. I secured a trader almost a month ago. Picked up the tickets from a kid who seemed really cool....we even exchanged emails after he sOld me the tickets. I am not 100% sure he knew they were fake.

Im pretty sure I met some of you as we discussed the horrible scumbaggery that occured on the most amazing night of the year. I was the one in the bear hat and flannel. My friend and mines tickets were fake as well, guy who sold them to his dad reported them stolen 10 min before we got to the gate...really upsetting turn of events but we made it back to NJ in time for Heavy Things and that awesome gag I only wish I couldve witnessed first hand

Sorry to here, OP. Really, the only way to be secure in authenticity is TM or take a f***ing at the other brokers. ie...stubhub. If you ever do buy a ticket from a scalper, make him/her walk to get the gate with you before you pay.

So a couple extras ended up back in my hands last night. My boy Dave and I saw this girl in tears outside the venue. She said she and her husband just got turned away with fakes. We gave them the tickets, walked them in and said Happy New Year!

sorry i ruffled your (or your cat's) feathers! i just get carried away whenever i hear phans getting burned by scammers and in my admittedly naive mind believe that the only way to eliminate the problem is not to buy tickets from any other than reputable (and by that i mean ptbm or ticketbastard) sources. no harm meant. that is all.

@gladtobeglenn no feathers were ruffled. however, with this logic you wouldn't be able to buy anyones extras. it's a risk i took, and i knew that. There's just a lot more to my story. I had already been scammed once, luckily it was through paypal and i got my money back.

That sucks and now with this ticket cancellation strategy, makes it even worse. For me, its either PTBM, Ticketmaster or Ebay through someone who has sold many things, tickets, and has 100% perfect feedback for etc.That guy and his family are gonna get harassed for the next few days!

f*** THIS SHIT!!! Fakes have gotten OUT OF CONTROL!I had two buddies this run get burned. One kid bought his NYE tic 3weeks ago and thought he was set for an amazing NY vacation. The other bought his a bunk 30th that night.
AND, I saw several a couple get turned away about 10ft ahead of me on the way in on the 31st, then the poor dude at the turnstile next to me go turned away! UNfuckingREAL
