I can see how the Phish one would be, but "it's ice" would be pretty hard to prove it's 100% Phish related, no? It is a winter hat after all.

awww so sick. my girlfriend was knitting me a hat and was trying to think of a cool phish reference to throw on. ITS ICE is perfect!!!!! may steal your idea depending on how far along she is...but yes, those are sweet. a buddy of mine found a green and blue hat, similar style to those at a random garage sale that said LAWN BOY on it.

Okay .net, I had no idea people would dig them so much. And I honestly did not come here to sell them, but since there has been so much interest, I am putting the first It's Ice hat on ebay. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes to make one hat, but its somewhere around 2.5 shows, and I want to get a feel for pricing to see if it's worth it to crank a bunch out.

umm, not sure the exact size, but if you're human it'll more than likely fit. I've been making them to be as close to the size of other hats that I have (store-bought, "one size fits most" ones) if for some reason you've got a gigantic (and I mean GIGANTIC) head, it would probably stretch over. I've got decent sized noggin and I tried it on, it fits quite nicely.

as for the price. 25 isnt unreasonable. i guess it all depends on how much your materials cost.

Knit. We had to knit wash cloths in elementary school so we would know what life was like for the pioneers. I came across a box of my grandmothers old belongings and found a huge stash of needles and a couple things of yarn and decided to see if I could still do it. Luckily I've got a memory like an elephant and I was able to craft a really shitty hat. So I googled some knitting stuff and figured out how to not suck so bad and made that phish hat, then the it's ice one. I've got it down pretty well now, and it looks like I'm doomed to a winter/spring of making hats. Next on the line is Seven Below.

agreed...sounds like you have more than a few people interested in your wares...So getting rid of them shouldn't be too difficult...As mentioned earlier, I would buy one...keep us informed if and when you have them for sale...

A Pac-Man Ghost one would be awesome. I'm sticking with two color patterns for the foreseeable future (since I am not a cat and tangled up yarn doesn't get me excited), but you'll definitely see some version of that happening.
