whaatt?! I don't think this song has gotten past the 15 minute mark let alone 20+ minutes. Although I would not be opposed to a 20 minute Ocelot jam.

the song can't seem to get much past the 11 minute mark. I'd be much more interested in it if they really did open it up and vary the versions a bit. I feel like if I hear one, I've heard them all (jaded comment inserted). hearing it with the horns during trey tour was fun last year though

I feel like if they were more willing to really jam on it and stretch it out I'd like the song a lot more, that's not to say that I hate it, that's for a different thread, but like @Bizarro_Jerry said if you heard it once you've pretty much heard them all. Its a good sing-along tune tho

There have been 10 3.0 20+ minute jams. 7 of those were in '09, 0 in '10, and 3 of them in '11. I find it interesting that most of them came in '09.

I already love Ocelot as-is, but I am of course always down for some crazy deep exploration (regardless of the song it comes out of).

I really like Ocelot. Since the beginning I could hear potential, but it seems like they've found their niche with it. Of course, anything is possible with these guys. I could see one going out there around the 14-16 minute mark. 20 seems like a stretch, but I'll take 20 minute jams all day, every day. Mid 1st set 22 minute sunset jam beast N1 at Bethel? Let's use our manifest destiny powers and make this happen!

I have been begging for a "dirty" Ocelot for a while. During many show discussions I would bring it up. If it goes 20 minutes great but I just want them to bring this one down into a mud puddle, drag it around, then bring it back clean as it was when the got there. I hope that makes sense.

Agreed. Love Ocelot. Trey loves to play it, the inlay on the Ocedoc is proof of that. Would love to see them jam of out to a good 15-20 for sure!

yeah, I would be ok with this. KDF had a decent performance at over 12 minutes @ Bethel last summer. One of the jams I specifically recall from 2011. Worth a re-listen. Another reason why NYE was somewhat disappointing. Bethel was the tour opener and they killed many jams that weekend . Some of these jams feel like 20 minutes but they're 12 or 15.

When I started this thread I was listening to the fantastic UIC version. I don't need this song to be 22 min but @Jayem (who is a wise mind) picked my brain perfectly. I want a dirty, in the mud, nasty Ocelot.And I love Alaska! It didn't ruin my NYE!

I dont like the song at all in terms of arrangement. That being said it is a jam that delivers pretty consistently. On New Years I sat down for the album song and then pounded a beer and stood up for the jam to follow
