Only 2 1/2 months til Deer Creek. How about a thread dedicated to everything DC? Previous shows discussion, camping plans/questions, song wishlists, dream setlists, anything and everything that typically has its own thread started for it over the next couple months. Ill start with a tip for first-time Creekers:
If you are on the lawn for the show and need to bust ass to get on the first bus back to your campsite (closeby, green acres, dead acres, etc.) dont be stupid and leave before the encore. After the show, dont walk down the lawn and get in the mess of people herding out through the walkway with the pavilioners merging in. Stay walking along the lawn to the last possible point and then merge in. You will bypass a ton of people this way. If you happen to miss the first buses and decide to walk, be careful talking the shortcut through the cornfield. You can easily get turned around in there and you may never get out of that maize.

Was this all just a set up for that poorly-thought-out joke at the end?

Hot as balls but a great three shows, with my 24th birthday tucked in the middle.
I would love to be able to hit DC again...
God damn it feels good knowing the boys are coming home this summer. Well, its home for me because I live on the fashionable northeast side of Indianapolis. Deer Creek runs were something of mythic proportions growing up during the hiatus/break up years and now they are here, for my viewing pleasure, what a trip. I love that venue more than some of my closest friends and family, A historic summer shed that just seemed to magically grow out of the ground like all the corn that surrounds it. Anywho, I'm sure you can tell this place means a lot to me and would love to see you all there this summer. Especially Mr. Hoosier Pride himself, @MiguelSanchez
^ hell yeah man! Good place to pop your multi night cherry. See you page side night 2. We'll be holding down the rage side in grand style both nights!
Same here! We'll be ragin the rage side at DC/AV
Im pretty pumped that we are getting the shows in June instead of August. Hopefully it wont be near as hot as 2010. That heat was brutal during the day.
The 99 creek run was hotter than hell. Indiana in July is no joke. Lots of shade out there too...haha. At least the campgrounds have some tree cover. In 10 we were lucky enough to be in sleepybear overflow and camped in a woods type area. Everyone I talked to was in the sun all weekend.
I took a shower every 2 hours while we were at our campsite... I've never sweat that much while just sitting and drinking.
I have no idea why but I'm more excited for DC than any other shows this summerYear off... Distance makes the heart grow fonder

So true... Same here though @DanceTheJig728, and I think since Cinci is gettin so much shit talked about I think that might be the money show.
Just creek and blossum for sure. Work be holding me back. Second night of alpine is possible. I have to work saturday after creek, so I must decide if going all the way to alpine for 1 night is up my alley. I'll probably end up tacking on St Louis too, but I haven't carved it into stone. Sun/mon is my week end, so I'm also pondering north carolina(Sunday show). Either way, I have my blossum/creek pav seats, and unless I bust a move for alpine night 2, I won't be springing for anymore tix until late July/early august.
I feel ya, I also got my pav seats for DC2, Cinci, Star Lake, and Blossom, all page side! I'll probably end up doing St. Louis on 2nd leg too as well as Dick's for sure.
Long live Phishing at the Creek.
love deer creek.
can't wait for Tim's ultimate bloody mary shakedown bar.

I've been to the last 8 shows there, what a venue and what a great time. A couple of things. People like to party and get to some venue's early. This one is no exception. The only thing, watch out for under cover cops. There all around and are looking to bust your ass. Everyone wants to have a great time, myself included, but you just can't walk around with beers in your hands or smoke some weed right out in the open, use your heads people. I know some one who got popped there selling beer and went through a bunch of s**t just to get it all straightened out, plus what it cost him. Be careful, watch over your back at all times and just do what you'd normally do, just not out in the open. Camp grounds, you'll need a reservation. I found that out back in 2010. Some camp sites are quieter than others, so beware, unless of course you like to stay or be up to 4 or 5 in the morning. Like Ben said, it can be hot as hell in June, July & August, so I'm sure it will be upwards in the 80's. Storms can be a bitch in Indiana that time of year also. In 2009, I drove home (2 hour drive back to Ohio) in the worst storm ever. I shouldn't have been on the road at all, but had to get home because of work the next day. I needed to get a few hours sleep. It was pouring and blinding for at least an hour and a half. At times, I had a hard time driving my vehicle. Next time, I'll pull over under a underpass. Have a great time people and I hope to meet up with some of you at one of the greatest venue's Phish plays at when they tour during the summer!
Very psyched for my 1st visit to DC this summer. I first heard of this place like 25 years ago when the GD were killing it, but never could make it out. Seeing Phish there will be the cherry on the sundae! X-ing fingers for no rain the first night and a babysitter the 2nd...
I heard about that beer selling guy(haha)!
I never had a problem with drinking openly, but I know a dozen or so people to take a weed charge at deer creek. They were being pretty Randy though.
I'm new to this forum so if I should post this else where please let me know. I have a single to sell for each night face + fees of course. Night 1 is in the lawn and night 2 is in section E, row AA.
sincerely,

I just listened to the TAB Creek 01 show and am really digging Come on Baby Lets Go Downtown. I wouldnt mind seeing this cover being busted out this year with the Phish treatment. They've only played it twice I believe.
I'm calling the first Harpua at DC and the bustout of Spocks Brain.
This will be my 21st and 22nd Phish shows there. 100%
