12/6/97
In some particular order:
12.2.95
9.3.11
2.28.03
12.30.10
It seems as though no one has mentioned the Camden 09', which I though was pretty stelar, for a 3.0 version! What are the favorite 3.0 Tweezers?
but one that not many people have heard that's worth about 25 listens is 12.29.92 Curtain -> Tweezer. It's not the longest but it's pure early-90's mayhem... it's awesome.
Filler from LP 16
FLeezer, too long for some but who cares
ALO
Tweezer seems to get ripcorded more than any other song in 3.0 for some reason

But I could pull a bunch.
The beautiful messes of 5.7.94 and 10.30.10 need to be mentioned. Certainly not "best ever" material, but absolutely among the most noteworthy.
OP, are you aware of this site's jamming charts? From the top menu, choose Music -> Charts -> Jamming Charts, then pick a song. Quite the resource.
Hey everyone I just wanted to ask what your favorite tweezer was and why because it is truly a magnificent song! Mine 11/22/97. Cheers! That's exactly what I was thinking... haha. In fact I was just talking about this on another forum.
That second set beats out any set from the Island Tour in my eyes.
6/9/00, Tokyo. Felt like a Tweezer from the mid-90s, with some 99,2000 flavor. Really nice.
@PeachesEnMangos said:Dude I agree I love it when they reprise for an encore too. The second set was superior Halley's> Tweezer> BEK> Piper and then a 14 minute antelope best set in that tour by far.Hey everyone I just wanted to ask what your favorite tweezer was and why because it is truly a magnificent song! 7/15/98 and 8/1/98 love them both for different reasons
9-3-11
By far the best Tweezer I've seen. It had me jumping up and twirling around. Love the way the early par tof jam falls apart quick leaving just Mike's bass line, then another little full band riff, then falls back to the bass line.

Hmmm. I am the only one to go with 11-28-94. SacrilegeSometimes those earlier Tweezer's can be a hit or miss for me. That early type II can get pretty rough at times.
And the SBiX Tweezer had a lot of potential in my eyes but they were just a bit off I think and never quite locked in and took it where it could have gone.
I'll check it out but I can't promise anything.A live one is good, this one is better. It's not drifty aimless stuff. It's rhythmic, gritty, dark, jazzy, and has a killer peak at the end.
What is it like relative to ALO?
Hmmm. I am the only one to go with 11-28-94. SacrilegeI've only heard it once, I remember it being very good though with a sweet end jam. Along with the Bowie from two nights previous, both very similar jams. I'll give that Tweezer a listen later, thanks for the Youtube post.

I like the funky groove try get into then trey blows it apart with some ear piercing licks and it pretty much killed the groove.

My favorites are 12/6/97, 12/2/95, 12/1/94, and 11/28/94. 11/28/94 is long, but amazing. I see @Sprachtor already linked up the audio from my youtube channel. Everyone should hear it at least once.Cool channel btw.
Actually, given the date this idea is elevating from "Nice Little Friday" to "Moral Imperative".
@mgh2001 said:Halleys might be THE jam, but I like first set better. Mikes Grove's is top 5 and the best Harry Hood intro to me.@PeachesEnMangos said:Dude I agree I love it when they reprise for an encore too. That's what I like. Sometimes those early type II jams can be hit or miss, Trey is just starting to really work with effects and isn't quite as smooth as the later years.
I might be alone on this, but the album version from Pic of Nectar is my favorite.
I think it's one of, if not the strongest studio recordings they ever did.
@Sprachtor said:Wow forgot how good that was. The groove they get into after the DDLJ is sweet with some awesome organ work from Page. Then the piano solo > bass solo was a nice blissful lull before Trey and Fish kicked it up to that raging peak.Hmmm. I am the only one to go with 11-28-94. The 94 Tweezer
The 97 YEM, Ghost, BEK and Timber
The 09 Seven Below > Ghost, SOAM, YEM
I'm sure there are more

11/28/94 is the best of the beeg Juans, by a longshot. 6/14/95 and 6/22/95 don't suck, but to my ears they just aren't anywhere near as interesting or dynamic.
7/6/94 tops my list at the moment. The thematic jamming is off the hook!
