We really enjoy this campground, and have stayed here for every Alpine show since we stumbled upon it in '97.
The problem is that it's a 16 mile drive to the venue. Scenic Ridge does not have plans for a shuttle service at this time.
If you're staying at Scenic Ridge for Alpine Valley, post the .net handles and / or number in your party. I'll look into the possibility of getting our own .net party bus.
I'll give this thread a couple of weeks and see what the volume is, get some price estimates and we can decide then.
I look forward to meeting you all in the hills of cheese.
To make it official in this thread...
@CookDog +2 (@phan83 and @Caliphishead) for a total of 3 in my party.
I would be down. It is just me as of now (will likely be about 3).
If the campers a rockin...This goes without saying people, unless it's music that you hear rockin'.
I have no current camping plans so me and @purple_humpback_whale and @quinn_the_eskimo may have to stay there.Have you called yet? Not sure what type of vehicle you have but I think we may have gotten the last RV spot.. (we were on a waiting list and they called about 3 weeks ago..) Pretty sure they have some tent spots left. I'd get on it.
Their number is (608)-883-2920
Place looks really nice. I got their brochure in the mail after giving a deposit.

@CookDog said:Wine and swimming on the beach sounds nice Saturday morning.. But, I think our morning is going to consist of waking up and driving north all morning.. Any advice on the trek up from Noblesville?Place looks really nice. I got their brochure in the mail after giving a deposit.Wine and swimming on the beach Saturday morning.

Tip #1.. Be sure the guy driving the RV is not still legally drunk from the previous night's debauchery.
Tip #2... _________
Any advice on the trek up from Noblesville?I've only done that trip once, back in '99. Stand still traffic through Chicago sucked.
I'm not the best person for pointers on that one.
Leave a message on their machine, they'll get back to you.
Might just be me unless I can convince some of my other friends in the Chicagoland area to come with. I'd definitely be interested in staying here though
Check out this website http://www.jonestravel.com/ . This company is located in Elkorn WI, which is very close to the campground and venue. I would bet at least half the campground would want to get on a shuttle to the show.
Or this one in Whitewater http://www.rockstartourbus.com/Rockstar/Welcome.html .
Two in my party
Myself and @MrsDubya
When you see this thing at the campground, don't be shy.

But if you see this one, please steer clear....and don't let the kids near it....the stories i've heard are just beyond your wildest imagination....
the hot tub on the lower level is far from clean....and they do not use chlorine to sanitize...
but don't worry, @JayDubya is would never let ya mix the two up....hes alright in my book
That would be for one night so you're looking at $50 a person for both shows.
I've got some more calls out to other providers, I'll post those when I get them.
How many is that based on.. Looks like we've got north of 20 riders potentially..
Thanks @JayDubya!!
I figure between the committed .netters and randoms at the campground who would be willing to buy in we could fill it easily.
Is $40 at Snug Harbor per night / per person?
Yes, it is $40 per night per person at snug. Sounds like their splitting the profits 50/50 between bus co and campground. Another thing you may want to check would be if the campground has any major objection to having a bus pick people up there. It didn't sound like they would though, and a private charter has no bearing on their licenses and whatnot, so they would have no reason to be concerned.
Whatever we get set up will be as cheap as possible, no money intended to be made by me. Just cover the costs and get every to and from the venue safe.
do you think theres still spots left at scenic ridge that he could grab? @phishdicks you said you just made reservations, did they say how much more room they have?
Keeping my fingers crossed for this bad boy...
yup, i heard 40 a night per person at snug harbor. a friend of mine has reservations there and he has to commit by june 1st. his reservations are for 5 people, $700 something dollars for all 5 people. 3 already dropped out.i believe they had a couple sites left. just call and ask. they were very nice!

Option A: Motorcoach type bus that will seat 55 people, has a bathroom, and will allow beers on board. Cost, as stated above, is $25 / person / night based on filling every seat each night. 55 is more than we need for our .net group (I believe) but I really don't think I'd have a problem getting rid of any extra seats at the campground the day of. But, there's a chance I could get stuck with empty seats.
The bus would look like this inside:
Cost would be $30 / person / night for this type of a set up.
will they really check if im 21 here. cause im not.At the campground? I don't think so.
I am most likely to say bus A just because it has the most seating for everyone. However, riding to the show in bus B would be epic! And it's probably a sure thing to fill it up. It's got to be your call either way.
55 people seems like a lot, I wouldn't want to pay more than $25 for option A.
Think 35 seats is enough for .netters... And for and extra $5 why not...
Keep us posted but count me in with @phan83 and @caliphishead
