My itunes library has been pretty stagnant for years now. Im trying to freshen things up and get into some new stuff. Ive got oodles of reggae and thats what Ive been listening to mostly for the last 5 years. Need to branch out! Dear .netters, help me please! Throw out some crucial albums that you just couldn't live without, some good stuff ppl might not know about, random good shit, etc. Anything and everything (if its sincere) is appreciated. Here are some of mine just off the top of my head:

J.S. Bach Brandenburg Concerto #5. 1st movement is a favorite of mine. Put it up there on account of your enjoyment of Vivaldi. Also check out the Classical guitar playing of Andreas Segovia.

Soulive is an amazing jazz/funk band. Check them out, also they put out an album "Rubber Soulive" which is them covering the Beatles in an instrumental jazz style...it's amazing.

You should try some Medeski Martin & Wood - great jazz trio of keys, bass & drums, all three are excellent musicians. Here's a link to one of their shows I've been listening to, theres a ton more live shows on etree too if you like them

That Theresa Andersson track is called "Oh Mary" it's unreal. She just put out an album called Street Parade but it is nothing like that tune and that tune is not on the album, but I really really dig dig it. Very unique.

Del is this bees knees. One of the greatest live performances I ever heard was him @ Bonnaroo in 2002 (check it out if you havent heard it - http://archive.org/details/del2002-06-22.shnf ). I get choked up every time I hear that version of Vincent Black Lightning. The crowd gets so loud it almost blows out the recording mic. You can actually hear Del and the band just shake their head and laugh at the crowds reaction.
Flatt & Scruggs I will definitely look into. Gracias! If you like gospel bluegrass the Country Gentlemen are a real treat.
