First show at Deer Creek was Grateful Dead 1995. ABSOLUTELY love this venue!boy you picked a great one to attend
I'll be there with you guys, my 9 & 10th shows at each venue. Can't wait!!!
THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!! these will be my first shows of the summer first night DC will be my 50th. did i mention im driving from orlando. cant wait to get on the road!!!!!!
All I'm gonna say about finding tickets in the lot is it won't be impossible, but don't necessarily think it will be easy. Lots of people showed up ticketless at dc and av in 2010 and there was lines at the box office. Especially at deer creek, some missed the first set the first night no joke.
A lot of history between those two venues too, in terms of ridiculous hows and personal memories. This little trip will take me back to the 90's and I absolutely hope they bring the heat.
cant wait.
PS - Thanks threadders for catching that DC re-release the other day. I snagged a couple pavs.
PhishDicks, there are lawn tix for Alpine N1 still available through livenation - are you looking to get tix below face on the lot?
I will be at both Alpine nights, really looking forward to my 3rd and 4th shows...GA for N1 and pavs N2. Just hope I can keep it relatively under control N1 haha.

I haven't missed a DC to Alpine or Alpine to DC run yet. I told the wife that if this weekend happens it will always be the one vacaton i get a year. So stoked just about to get the camping gear checklist out and put it in order. Who's getting in early on wednesday? Always a great time at the campgrounds and you get a whole 24 hours of pregame the day before.

great woods would do well to learn this trick, but nothing about that place is easy or makes much sense

I may have an extra pav ticket and VIP deck band...I will post here if that happens or try and get it to a .netter in need.
Going all 4 nights. Will be 3rd time to the Creek and 2nd for AV. This will be my first time camping at either so looking forward to that. And I just got the ptbm email that my Creek tickets will be arriving Monday. Tick...tock...tick...tock...I know I'm waiting, too. The wife is calling home asking everyday if the dc + av tix have come. We are vibrating with excitement.
Deer Creek both nights for me. Pretty psyched. Gonna be a long 13 days, but at least we have couch tour to pass the time
guys, how is the parking situation at alpine? horrendous? I'm thinking about a VIP parking pass for Sunday night, group of 4 of us would probably like to skate out of there as quickly as possible

Bob and weave, if a line gets stale zig and zag. We always chill for about an hour to let people mad dash it and peep the traffic flow...plus sometimes you get to see a w00k fight like 09.
Yellow lot is your friend in many-a-ways = off to the side (far west)...I've never spent more than 30 minutes in traffic leaving av...even less entering and that's every year since 2003.
DC YES! AV is still a maybe but I think it will happen!
We always plan to sit and chill in the parking lot post show, but usually have ended up trying to leave. It can be maddening.
Also, the cops force everyone onto the interstate after the show, which is just nutty. It's also scary if you didn't get to Alpine via the interstate. Boom, you're immediately lost.
get there later & you'll be parked at the rear of the lots. easy exit post show. no real lot scene so no need to get there particularly early unless you're low-key
RE: the questions on the AV lawn being crappy. It's steep, which is means you are closer to the stage than you might expect. But if you have ankle or knee problems, standing the entire show might get uncomfortable. And if it had rained or is raining it could get slick. Personally, I love AV Lawn, and our group usually makes a point to do an AV lawn show every year just for the laid back vibe and the scenic Wisconsin sunset and hilly countryside in view while the band is playing. That will be N2 for us this year. N1 we in the Pav Page Side.
"no real lot scene" well that sucks
for parking. I wouldn't park in the far lot. its quite a hike after dancing and roaming the lot all day.
Camping in Green Acres for Deer Creek and Scenic for Alpine.
I'm the dude with the completely solid black tattooed arms, come say hello!!
