MySoula Permalink
MySoula I thought it might help some people if things were consolidated and provided a go-to on alpine issues.

Alpine Threads:

Lot Scene

Ticket Accessibility at Show

Places to Eat

How to Win a Codes to BOTH Shows Contest

Other tidbits:

There has been construction on Hwy 12/67 in Elkhorn (if you are heading to whitewater area). It was supposed to end late June but I haven't heard if it's over and have been avoiding that area. Something you might want to check out if you are heading that way.

Also you will probably get pushed back onto 43 or 120 post show...plan directions accordingly.

Have fun all, see you there!

MySoula Also, there are stretches of construction on 43 from Milwaukee to east Troy area. Couple that with the weekend before the 4th in a tourist area and summerfest in Milwaukee, plan for traffic.

And it looks like temps in the 90s thru the weekend and burn bans are starting to pop up (no fireworks).

Stay safe and stay hydrated!

Yeah, they wait for that post show.

Our crew was placing bets to see his long cops showed up when our drunk neighbors started launching them from the top of their van after a show in 09.

Edit: and it took the police under 5 minutes.

I don't remember if they do. But fear not Whitewater is tiny. Just go to Jessica's Diner in the down town area. Standard breakfast at cheap price.

Hi:

We just wanted to follow up with those who had recently sent us e-mail asking about the upcoming shows. Due to the extremely dry and dangerous fire conditions, grills of any kind, fires, fireworks, and any other burning will not be permitted in the parking lots for both the Phish and DMB shows. Please plan accordingly.

Regards,
Your Friends at Alpine Valley

Not looking good. City of Jefferson and all that their fire dept serves have a burn ban...so depending on the campground location you might not be able to have a fire.

campground phone numbers are at the bottom right of page I would just call and ask. If you can burn PLEASE get your wood locally, as there are huge issues with invasive bugs.

We've had some warm temps and with that come chances for storms. Humidity is on the way down, which drops chances for storms. We were at 40% on sat and it recently dropped to 20%.

Personally, I would be surprised if it rained and if it did it would be popcorn showers...and it wouldn't rain more than 15-30 minutes.

I would worry more about heat (mainly humidity) than storms.
