JLLSU I typically try 2-4 new (to me) beers a week, but I ALWAYS have Anderson Valley Oatmeal Stout in my fridge.

What can usually be found at your crib?

Jimmymac03 I'm hooked on Stone Ruination IPA lately. Although, for tonight I got a bottle of their Vanilla Bean Porter. It is new. I am very excited. Kinda weird though, I feel like I need to open it at the right time. It's just beer. DRINK IT ALREADY JIM!

I will report back in a few :)

I do the same thing. I work mostly nights and I rarely drink a beer that I'm geeked up about late at night. I like to do it on off days or on the odd day that I might work a day shift. I also make sure the special beers are always the first beer of the day.

Ha! Too bad I will be in LA on Saturday. I actually went to the Stone Brewery today to continue my process of groveling for a job there. I think it working :) so grabbed a growler of Ruination IPA and a bottle of the Vanilla Bean Porter as well as a bottle of Chipotle Porter! Saving the Chipotle for tomorrow but cracking the vanilla... right... MEOW!

HighGearAntelope DogFishHead IPA 60 is one of my alltime favs. I wish it was in my fridge more often.

Love the IPAs :)

North Country Brewing Company in Slippery Rock, PA has GREAT beer, lots of IPA, lots of everything, really, that you all should try when in western PA. Oh and BBQ sauce that you wouldn't believe.

Very complex porter. The vanilla is strong throughout. You get it on the nose, and in every moment of the taste. The smoked porter taste kinda rumbles in halfway through and takes over a bit. Damn this is good though. Def not a beer you could have a bunch of, but one will make you fall in love.

My buddy that works for stone said he saw guys on the line opening and scraping out vanilla bean seeds direct into the mash. You can tell. It def paid off. Good work Stone.

If you like brown ales give lazy magnolias southern pecan a go its a close contender and also very tasty. You might be able to get those in ATL they are brewed in Kiln, MS.

It is looking good. I already have an offer at Karl Strauss but I honestly like Stone's products better and their company is a little younger and more hip if that makes any sense. They are both great though and both take really good care of their employees so it would be an honor to work for either company. Just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket you know?

For real? I am the opposite. I am kinda in love with the company. I really dig their branding/marketing and every product I have tried is great. A friend of mine is an engineer there and he is able to bring home a stupid amount of beer for free. We get all the usual stuff plus he has access to any experiments they are doing that aren't available to the public. I really dig this company.

I have tried Levatation... once. It is good, but I am with you Sloth, hops is where it is at! And for that the Ruination is king. However, they have a Ruination 10 year anniversary which is just stupid. 10.5% alcohol, real nice big hops that are smoothed out by a some nice floral attributes. Very floral actually.
