And there are more but I'm trying to limit my post. These are 2 I can think of off the top of my head. It's hard to pick one, it depends what kind of mood I'm in
@RR1994, you started the thread, any suggestions?
I've always been partial to the next one I'm about to hear ...

11/18/96 Simple. One of my all-time favoritesI have a hard time choosing personally. That's kind of why I started this thread. However, the two I usually alternate between are the riverport gin, and the 07/04/99 slave. The riverport gin is my favorite type 2 jam, but I also love that slave. It's probably the most soulful phish jam I've ever heard. Treys guitar lick at the end that he repeats is my favorite guitar part in any song performed by anyone ever. I know it's nothing crazy but within the context of that jam... Wow.

20 posts in and no ones said river port gin?@MiguelSanchez and @RR1994 (OP) both said Riverport Gin. So mind your tongue.
This place is garbage.
Please tell me the date for this Gin. I don't think I've heard it yet.
My currents not having listened to every single Phish show in history (Have a life somewhat), is:
Nassau '03 Tweezer equally weighted with the same show's Gin. Whole show rocks.
Went Gin
12/6/97 Set II
Ghost Prague '97
Cypress X-Eyed and Painless
Camp Oswego Piper.
Riker-
River port is 7/29/98
It is the best phish piece ever played. It flows from start to finish as if it was composed, note for note, which in a sense it was, as it draws from phish's entire career up to that point.
Its gorgeous like a ten dollar souther whore.

Another candidate...10/30/98 Stash> Manteca> Tweezer
David Bowie> Jessica Jam> David Bowie> Have Mercy> David Bowie 5-8-93
That's a hard one. If your talking about a tune that's over a certain time limit or just a tune that they jam to? Your gonna get all kinds of answers here. Everyone has there own ones that they loved. I thought the DWD from 7-15-00 to start the second set was pretty good or the Tweezer from 11-30-95 was great. There are so many to choose from......
The answer of course is YEM from 12-9-95.
Don't sleep on the Pipers from 9/11/00 (funk grooves galore) and 6/19/04 (so unbelievably out there...with a full on 6-7 minute "Tweezer Reprise" jam)
It's not from an official show, but it doesn't get any better than the Bethel soundcheck version of "Waves." Holy shit. One of the most beautiful half hours of music ever laid down.
The best jam from a real 3.0 show is the Rock and Roll-> Meatstick from the Gorge, hands down. The last minute or two of jamming when they leave the theremin and start to jam towards Meatstick is stunning, and some of the best on-the-spot improvised music I've heard from Phish, ever.
12/9/95 YEM and 6/20/04 Drowned are up there in my book
love that drowned...love it. To me, it's close. Would throw 6-28-00 gin up there, too. Especially is by 'best' jam you mean that type of jam...destroys babies.

or the last possum...
7/2/97 Stash has always been a favorite too. Takes a while to get going, but contains some of the most effortlessly beautiful Type II I've ever heard.
