Penn42 Permalink
Penn42 Personally I think Gorge 98 is the best. Not the longest, but damn is it just about as flawless a jam as they've ever played. It's got that wonderful not-yet-dark-just-chillin'-in-the-late-afternoon funk vibe goin on. Love it love it love it. Also, no Gumbo discussion is complete without 8.13.97.

It's the version that made it onto A Live One and still my favorite. With the Cosmic Country Horns during the second set. A show worth having for anyone collecting shows.
