47 shows since 1999
avg = 3.615 a year
One every 4 months...
I can deal with that
63 since 1994 = 3.5 a year
Its not the length, its the width or so im told.
Sorry wrong pissing contest
Sorry wrong pissing contest
if i exclude the first then its 3.5 show per yr
if included...2012-1994 = 18 / 15 or really 15/ 18 = 1.2 per yr....sucks but its reality....
i think my GD ratio is like 6.5 per yr...
20 since 1996No need to kick dirt. As I, you do what you can when you can. I feel lucky to have seen what I have especially within the past 3 years.
1.25 / year.
:: kicks dirt ::
73 shows since 1995 = average of 4.29 shows a year, or an average of 7.3 shows a year if you exclude the years they didn't play and the one year I didn't see any shows (2003).
7.3 shows per year

Have seen 75 shows since 94 think it comes out to about 4 shows a year. Most shows I saw in a year were 20 in 2011. While i'm perty pissed at myself that i didn't see any shows in 95 an 96 i'm glad i got back on board in 97 and am still able to see phish having fun on stage and playing at a high level. Some times I think we get so spoiled from Phish that we don't realize how different it could have turned out if Trey never got clean. So even though they mite not do some things the way they used to I'm thankful every time i get to see them.

so 1.0something dont feel like doing the math, kinda depressing
why would you include the breakup and hiatus years?That's for the next thread!
I got off the train, so to speak, in '99, after my high school crew dissipated. And I wasn't really into 2.0, so no regrets there.
I am at 75 since 1996, so 5/year I guess, but a bunch of those years the band wasn't touring.
First show was Dec. '99 and last show was last Sunday for a total of 40. 13 were this year, I'm a late bloomer. That's roughly 3.1/yr counting hiatus years. Adjusting for the hiatus it's 5.7 so we'll call it 6/yr.Honestly. I was expecting more decimals based on your username.
before return 96=3 97=2 98=1 99=4 2000=2 03=5 04=2 or appox 3 a year
*missing a few shows (0's were GOOD!! and din't know about .net)
Also looks like I a 3.0 LOVER!!!!
**on a side note wife caught on to my obsession and is putting putting a foot down about the 9 show a year thing!!
*** I know KMS & STIIMB ***** OH yeah forgot the PT'rs are gone!!

I got 28 shows since, so that is seven shows per year.
189 shows since 1993 (minus 7 years for the breaks between 2000-2002 and 2004-2009) = 15.75 shows a year......without subtracting for the hiatus/break-up I average a shade under 10 shows a year (I've run my own business since getting out of college in 2002 so I have a lot of flex in my schedule).....thanks to my sis for breaking me in when in was a kid, thanks to my highschool and college professors that let me get away with academic MURDER, thanks to Mom and Pops for being understanding of my...addiction.....and more importantly thanks to the boys for playing the brand of music they do. All aboard for Leg 2 and the chase for 300!

Don't know the exact number but it's around 100 since 1994. I took a break from Big Cypress until 2009 (so did the band for the most part). Looking forward to 100 more...dude really...there was 2.0 magic that would of been worth your time; regardless 100's a 100.
Yes but you need to think about significant digits when rounding or approximating. Also, can you have a fraction of a show? That's more qualitative than quantitative, unless of course you miss a chunk of it because you're late or if you leave early.

I actually cut about a foot and a half off last December.
But I feel like Im hitting a 3 year wall. After 96,97,98 I slowed down tremendously. And now after doing a bunch of shows in 09,10,11 Im slowing down again. Hitting one night of a three night run doesnt make my skin crawl like it used to. Only gonna have 2 shows this year unless they do Halloween or NYE.
my Railroad Earth stats are better: ~33 shows since 2001 or 2002 = ~3.3 per year. (RRE hasn't had a hiatus or a breakup...I suspect they can't afford to take a break!)
Take hiatus/break up out, which I think you should...
76 shows over 12 years = 6.3
