Who art in rhombus,
W00kie be thy name.
These hippies come
With guitar and drum
On tour as it is in Gamehendge.
Give this day our daily toke
And forgive us our WSP stats
As we forgive spreadheads that come to our Phish shows.
Lead us not into the Biscuits
And deliver us from Umphrey's
Tuck yeah!
An Emu Celebration Day
I'm not superstitious or anything but Friday the 13th always gives me an eerie feeling.
I have a super busy day on tap... Lots of work, not enough people, nice weather outside. It doesn't make for the best working conditions. Then add in that it's password change day and that just compounds the problem. Your password has to follow certain guidelines but I'll be darned if I know what they are. The passwords need to be so complex that I have to write them down. And even after writing them down, I still enter them wrong enough times to lock myself out of my systems.
I ask you, .net. What is the point of all that??
On the bright side, it's Friday, I have parties ahead of me this weekend, and the weather is spectacular. I love summer.
First day back thats not jammed with trainings and meetings. See if I can at least scrape the first layer of derp off. I have three essential (simple, yet potentially time consuming) tasks on my list today. If I can get them done, I'll call that a win.
Possibly stream some Bisco tonight. No nans. Then a wedding down in NH tomorrow.
Morning all, and Happy Friday!
::makes plans to snatch father-in-law's debit card::
I got invited to a Friday night show in Brahlington in august. But only phish and festivals are worth taking time off for IMO
Where in NH @johnnyd? I might be heading up that a way soonish and have never been before.Sunapee area in NH for the wedding.

What show in August? Reminds me to get tix for Strangefolk down on the water.
Got a touch of triskaidekaphobia @Penguin? I don't blame you. And I hate password change day.
Got a touch of triskaidekaphobia @Penguin? I don't blame you. And I hate password change day.Better than trichomonas, thats for sure.
My passwords dont change all on the same day. They are all on their own schedule. Its like whack-a-mole.
@_________________________ - yeah, I don't know if I'd drive 6 hrs for that either. That's cool about your friend.
Oh but look at that. Gogol Bordello is the night before, and Strangefolk is the night after. Now we're onto something.
Good morning .net from beautiful Key West! @Johnnyd the peppers place you recomended in the FL Keys thread was a riot!Awesome man! Did you get all the way through the tasting? I swear I was half-tripping on guatamalan insanity peppers by the end of that.
Only other "must-do" things imo are Blue Heaven for breakfast and check out Old School Board shop. And I guess the cat show if you like cats or silliness. Have fun and congratulations!
Edit: this
: )
I'm also going to a wedding this weekend. Can I get a ruling on cash as a gift? I'm assuming cash is cool, I know its my favorite gift.
Watch out for Pamela Voorhees today, everyone.
Ki, k,i ki; ma, ma, ma
Morning errbody! Got a touch of triskaidekaphobia @Penguin? I don't blame you. And I hate password change day.Say what now? Whatever it is, I suppose my response is a yes.
@Capricornio, my belief is that cash is the only acceptable wedding gift.
@_________________________ - yeah, I don't know if I'd drive 6 hrs for that either. That's cool about your friend. Now that would be a sick three night run

Morning everybody. I decided to check in before leaving for work today. Usually I don't get on the computer at home because I use one all day for work, but I just can't resist you guys.Cash is king, trust me!

GM.N!! I didnt know it was Friday the 13th! Off to walk under ladders, break mirrors and get a black cat to cross my path. Have a great day all!Good luck with all that!
w8 wut?
BTW, Great to meet you at SPAC, albeit briefly! Glad you made the trip out east, hope it was worth all the car time overall!
@Capricornio, Go with cash. If you give them a check there is a good chance it won't get cashed for a week or two if the honeymoon is right away.
I don't know about everyone else but I hate when I have a check floating. I always forget about it, then boom $200 out of your account when you least expect it.
Tonight is the big country concert. I am going to try to get over to our lot and take a few pics. So many cowboys/cowgirls in CT, who knew
Oh, and not this big country:

@johnnyd did you catch my post yesterday regarding the lack of Heady Topper in VT?
The final straw was that Facebook decided I really, really "Liked" Maker's Mark. This is a tough situation for an alcoholic. Ummmm, is everything OK??? Yes, I'm fine. You sure? I haven't holed up in my house with a case of whisky. Positive you don't need to talk about anything? I'm ok. Maybe you should hit a meeting. Honestly, I'm fine, but thanks for your concern!!!
So, I just picked up the Samsung S3 this morning. How the hell am I supposed to get anything done today? New phones. I guess "tech" gadgets in general are like the last "toys" we get to play with. I'm going to start a thread about it, but if any of you fine folks are phone geeks and have recommendations for apps/settings, etc. for a new android I'd like to hear them.
Oh, and not this big country:Nor this one, I presume.
Sick tune. Highly recommend.
I missed that post yesterday, will check it out. Rest assured that any shortage will not affect us. We got a guy. Actually a bunch of guys and girls. For the HT.
I'm very happy that it's Friday, this week has been a hard transition for me back to work life after vacation.
I'm going to try and listen to that SPAC N3 replay in thePhish room on tt.fm today. That can only help.
This was a given in the 90s when all I had was tapes. and I know its an obvious observation.
But it hit me like a ton of bricks on 6.8 and again this weekend, as I found the sound quality/mix sub-par (for phish) at both of my last 2 shows - Essex and MSG. (Surprisingly at MSG.)
Bar set at 5.
I'll take the over.

The phish is always worth it to me but meeting a few of you, albeit briefly, made it even more special.
Did I really miss ya in a toga? Im totes kicking myself in the ass right now.
@conphucius. I think you need to get lower.
A little further..
Hold it...
I was ready to do it, but was not willing to bear the wrath of the Mrs.
Of course the pav on N2 was just rocking.
It is quite the experience to hear SBDS of the the show you were the next day, or even later that night. I've been giving the two Alpine shows a lot of play time. It seems like some sections you hear during the show that you might dismiss grow on you as you listen to them over and over.
The inverse is also true. The Reba from N1 just blew me away live. I was in the zone for that mofo and thought it was spectacular. Upon a sober relisten it seems to be pretty standard. It goes back to the one thing I really like about Phish...everyone enjoys them differently.
Computer extra slow today. Plus 2 meetings added for this afternoon.
SHIT that means I'm gonna miss the first hour of the replay!
It goes back to the one thing I really like about Phish...everyone enjoys them differently.This.
It would be nice if everyone (at least on the internet) figured that out so they don't get all butthurt when someone else prefers different versions to them.
And droogz or sober, the listening experience at the show and at home can be totally different.
@Capricornio Go with cash, or check (made out to the groom, of course). GoodOleBoy'dMr. and Mrs. John Smith.
She'll love that.
Unless she's really traditional, in which case she might actually really love that.
GM everyone! Over/Under on how many "Ohh noo it's Friday the 13th!" comments made in the office today?I'm with you on the over...
Bar set at 5.
I'll take the over.
Ooooo. Scary.
Since you guys are apt to give gift advice... I'm going to a catholic baptism (or christening?) this weekend, do people generally give gifts? The parents are pretty close friends of mine.
Furthur tonight. Trying to score some tickets at the gate, if we don't we'll just hang out in Coney Island-- love the Dead but Furthur doesn't always do it for me.
@tripsforjoeg said:No, she'll [sarcasm]love[/sarcasm] that. With this particular relationship it would make more sense to write it out "Mr and Mrs her name."@Capricornio Go with cash, or check (made out to the groom, of course). GoodOleBoy'dMr. and Mrs. John Smith.

And droogz or sober, the listening experience at the show and at home can be totally different.I agree 100%. Case in point, DC N1 Mikes groove: The poor quality of the music on tape(I'm thinking of Trey on drums and Fish on guitar for Paug) doesn't accurately portray how hilarious and awesome it was in person.
@tripsforjoeg said:I just meant "John Smith". Literally every check from a divorced (and many a happily married)man at my wedding was made out directly to me.@Capricornio Go with cash, or check (made out to the groom, of course). GoodOleBoy'dMr. and Mrs. John Smith.

This guy finds people who write "sneak peak" instead of "sneak peek" and corrects them:
