Sooooo dark & psychedelic! I had totally forgotten that I'd been chasing this song for since 2002/2003. Then I heard I heard them start it & was all

Mr_Miner Funny. I caught SOAM at my first show 11/30/89 and that was one that really got me hooked. The Zappa influence. I've not seen one since 98. Just keeps missing me. I love the album version. Such a great song.

Yup. I still have not seen a 3.0 Chalkdust but have seen an Icculus, Mound, Meat, Weigh, Glide, and Esther. Go figure.

Wtf?! I can't go 3 shows w/o a chalk dust, and I haven't seen icculus since Oswego! Although, I had zero mounds going into 3.0. Now, I have 3!

TwiceBitten only 12 shows for me over ten years, but I've yet to see Split either. Definitely my most desired after Icculus, Harpua, and Fluff

dick_tatertot id say it hold up pretty well on the re listen. they really break that shit down and trey pushes the band to go deep. what a great 1-2 punch with the blues arena rocker la grange to follow.

GhostlikeSwayze Permalink
GhostlikeSwayze the spac version is very interesting. I like it alot- this is one of those jams of 3.0 thats really hits me as "this is the future of music". a very tense version, it seems at times fish is trying to push to the release but trey and page keep driving the darkness and tension further while gordon paints the background. thanks to @mkdevo i'm able to see kurodo add that visual syncopation he does so well
