jerryguscia All on Spreadsheet:
IT Soundcheck
IT Tower Jam
Coventry Soundcheck Jam 1
Sand -> Quadrophonic Topplings is 40 minutes with only the standard Sand lyrics

Not on Spreadsheet:
Also, try to find The Oxy Years compilations (Vol. 1, 2, and 3); they are compilations of just jams from 2003 and 2004. Very great.

Somebody on PT also made a compilations of Storage jam-like segments from 2011 tied into the Storage Jam.

Lastly, there are 2 instrumental Phish tracks on Phishows.com

I'll post links

i like this ^

the spliced stuff im gonna have to go slow with, personally i like the stuff that came right from the band, start to finish. im not sure if i will like the spliced stuff. i dislike the left hanging part that some of the mixes give me.

trust me, you're not going to want to pass up the unfortunately titled Oxy Years. I can't stop listening to it, most of the segments are 7 to 15 minutes before gradually cross fading into the next. It really turned around my opinion of 2.0 even though I saw 8 shows during those years.

Bozo3 im a huge fan of the music in 2.0 (not so much the scene)

i would rather listen to the entire song instead of just the jam. to me i listen to the intro, every little bit of the lyrics and in my head it leads me to the jam. listening to just the jam just doesnt fulfill sometimes, it leaves me hanging like huh what did that come from.

thats why i was looking more for long instrumental pieces that start and finish.

so far the ambient jam is just heart pounding.....

waxbanks I know this thread is dust but I do wanna stump for Hoodranger's (and Sho Nuff's) mixes: superb choices and nice fades. It's maybe easier to zone out on 2.0 stuff but I'm loving their 3.0 mixes, especially HR's "storage redux" business.

Roofless_Sheds i just threw this together this weekend to have a CD for the car, but upon repeated listening, it accidentally turned out to be one of the best Phish compilations i've ever made!

it's a CD-length collection of my favorite NON-FESTIVAL soundchecks, recorded between 1993 and 2000. the tracklist:

1) Glen Falls Jam (10/31/94, with Star Wars 'Luke & Leia Theme' tease from Trey)
2) Arcata Jam >
3) Dog Log > Jam (3/28/93, with full-band 'Beverly Hills Cop' theme tease)
4) Miss You >
5) Take Me To The River (4/9/93)
6) Vancouver Jam >
7) Leprechaun >
8) The Wedge (8/24/93, original Wedge arrangement... the jam sounds like a proto-Meat)
9) The Buffalo Soundcheck Song! (9/14/00)

Dabblesauce On this topic.....

I've been noticing a lot of parallels between some of Brian Eno's ambient soundscapes, and the really out there ambient/instrumental style of phish jams we've been talking about in this thread. Not that the two sound alike....but I feel alot of these out there/instrumental phish jams take a small page out of Brian Eno's longer/more ambient work. They bring me to a similar mental space.

Mike once said he see's Phish's music as a "bridge between the dream world and the real world." I feel that this quote especially relates to these long instrumental/ambient Phish jams.

Drum Logos, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, Japan

Set 1: Carini, The Curtain > Cities[1], Gumbo[2] -> Llama, Fee[3], Heavy Things, Split Open and Melt

Set 2: Back on the Train, Twist > Jam[4] -> Walk Away -> Also Sprach Zarathustra

Encore: Sleep, The Squirming Coil

[1] Trey altered the lyrics in Cities to reference noodles.
[2] Mystery Achievement tease from Mike.
[3] Tease of the old Charlie Chan signal lick from Fishman, who played it on the woodblock during one of his breaks.
[4] Segment based on the intro to Ghost.

Notes: Trey altered the lyrics in Cities to reference noodles. Gumbo contained a Mystery Achievement tease from Mike. Fee included a tease of the old Charlie Chan signal lick from Fishman, who played it on the woodblock during one of his breaks. The jam between Twist and Walk Away included a segment based on the intro to Ghost. Sleep was played by request. This show was officially released as Live Phish 04.

I'm in the middle of Twist > Fukuoka Jam as we speak. It's a good 35+ minutes of jamming.

these are my favorite regular tour soundchecks, but EVERY SINGLE FESTIVAL has awesome open-ended instrumental jams as a major part of its soundcheck, from Clifford Ball forward. i recommend grabbing them all, and picking your favorites!

I'm psyched to hear HoodRangers 2012 mix but I can't seem to find it. Every time I go to SoundCloud it says that it's no longer available. I even logged in. No Luck. Any ideas?
