I also noticed that my absolute favorite version of Runaway Jim, the Japanese robot monster from 6/16/00, is not on the list either. Quite simply, this Jim jam is one of the most original Phish jams they ever did. I can't really think of a jam where they cover this territory. Love it, but it's not on the jam chart. Who should be talked to to amend the Jim chart?
Guide to the Jamming Chart for "Runaway Jim"
Jesse Appelman is responsible for most of the contents of the Runaway Jim chart. After its publication in The Phish Companion, 2d ed, in 2004, the chart was imported into the site in 2011 by Philip Harrison (@Dog_Faced_Boy) and updated by him and Charlie Dirksen (@Icculus).
The purpose of the jamming tune charts is to include exceptional versions, including versions that feature a lot of teases of other songs in the jam segment; are unusually improvisational; and/or are recommendable for a reason that makes them notably different from a "standard, typically great" version. This chart has some versions in it that are not that "exceptional" in the broad expanse of Phish history, but they may still be noteworthy in light of versions occurring within the year in which they were performed.
If you believe this chart should be appended with a particular version, please post about WHY you feel that way in the Phish.net Forum (addressing it to @Icculus), or simply email charlie @ phish.net. Thank you.
EDIT: First part having already been done.
So, @Icculus, any chance these amazing versions of Runaway Jim could be added to the jam chart? I want more people to know about them. My reasons for their inclusion are listed in my OP.
Phil
