I think San Fran made some really poor coaching choices yesterday. They are to blame just as much as the players on the field.

Greatest team in history of nfl? They've only been winning since the 90's. Dallas used to take giant dumps right on the gay men. Their coach is a d bag their stadium is in the hair gel and herpe capital of the united states. Ignorant ass statement, who has 6 superbowl wins? That team would be the greatest ever.

. Have you ever been to Northern NJ? The Giants also won three titles before they had Super Bowls. Plus your QB is a scum bucket that would be a sex offender if he wasn't a pro athlete. Don't they call it Shitsburgh for a reason?

Tough to have an ego when your not the best QB at your Thanksgiving dinner table.

Nobody wants to mention the 6-0 Falcons? Granted they've played tight games but 6-0 is 6-0.

G-Men had a great day and if they play that well in January will make another run. However, as far as I'm concerned, on their best day, Houston can beat any other NFL team on that teams best day.

I understand the delusions fanatics can have. Football is a team sport. 21 other starters, a coaching staff and what city you play for help determine who wins SB's.

Give Peyton a championship defense and he might have reeled off 5 straight. If you think for a second he's not the smartest, strongest and most capable QB in the HISTORY of football you're just flat out wrong. He is. I watched it for over a decade. The guy makes a very capable Eli look silly in comparison.

Golgi_Groove And Yes I am aware they couldn't have won without coughlin & the coaching staff. The stellar d line was an enormous factor that assisted the rest of the defense. But you cant tell me Eli isn't a huge reason they won either. Two highly improbable super bowl runs, insane 4th quarter play. but yet Eli has such a better team around him and isn't comparable to Peyton. Peyton on the colts pretty much won 12+ games every year but only got it done in the playoffs once. Eli is more clutch, and better at the end of games.

Chilly Permalink
Chilly Honestly by the end of 2007, most of our 2008 season, and the last few weeks of last season + the playoffs, if we play at a certain level, we have been unbeatable. It is hard to consistently play at that level, but we are more than capable of it. My biggest gripe with the Gmen is that they seem to sometimes play down to their more average opponents.

In the playoffs last year we were unstoppable, sure at times we just didn't play perfect, but for the most part, if we played to our ability, it was total domination. The same thing seems to be holding true this year, in some ways on a much bigger level.

They might not always PLAY the best, but when they bring their whole package, they are better than just about any other team. Honestly the 49ers are on just a high of level and can do the same thing to other teams, but if we were able to put such a well-rounded beating on a team of that caliber, we will go far. Like I said before, consistency, consistency, consistency.

If the Steelers were such a great run team, they wouldn't have allowed their entire defense to get too old all at once. Face it, the Giants are the best team in the NFL at the moment. Defending Super Bowl Champs who have proven they can beat any team in the league. Oh and the Giants won their first Super Bowl in '86, just sayin'.

walstib Don't get me wrong. I'm really not trying to take anything away from Eli. He's a great QB who was very clutch in several big games. He was absolutely key to the Giants 2 runs. All that I'm saying that his brother happens to be the best ever. Eli's more like top 20.

Put Eli on the Indy teams Peyton had and he wouldn't have done as well as Peyton did. Eli wound not have taken any of those 12+ win teams (in spite of a lack of defense and running game) and made them win in the playoffs.

They keep a top 5 defense in the NFL through insane drafting since Woodson and Lloyd were running around and you got the nerve to question the management. You're an idiot. Sorry that injuries and age caught up with them after about 25 consecutive elite defensive seasons. Wont let it happen again.

Just to be clear the Steelers had the #1 ranked defense and the least amount of points scored against them LAST YEAR. I really don't think they "allowed" anything to happen in 1 off-season. The complete lack of a running game and inability to control time of possession has as much to do with the defensive problems as injuries (Troy and James) and age, which are also factors. If your defense is on the field for 36 minutes a game they will get beat. This is true for all defenses.

The steelers are indeed the greatest nfl franchise ever and it's not even close maybe Dallas or San Fran could speak'eth but the g-men?
