Anyone else a Pinback fan? Besides phish they are my other love. What do you think of the new album? I'm more than half way through and I'm a little disappointed. I love the first track, but their sound is different this album...canot put my finger on it but it doesn't seem very pinbacky.

loved Fortress from Summer in Abbadon. It was in a ski movie I saw and I couldnt get it out of my head.

Summer in Abaddon is a great album. Haven't listened to much other than Nautical Antiques and Autumn of the Seraphs.

I'd give them a listen first and then check out the self title and Autumn of the Seraphs.

If you like those they have about 10 EPs to check out.

My first time hearing Pinback was this summer. I spent about two days listening to everything I could find on the internets. I love their "alt" sound combined with their "prog" arrangements. I look forward to checking out their new stuff.

Unique and catchy sound...I haven't been able to compare them to anyone when people ask who they sound like.
So the new album has really grown on me. I cannot stop listening to the final track "Sediment". I've listened to it about 10 times already today.
