Picked up this little gem today. Word is this is limited to 12 copies worldwide!

Anyone else score one?

They were GIVEN AWAY at several indy record stores around the country. My local shop (Twist and Shout in Denver) did a scavenger hunt. Found it in with the Willie Nelson records.

Look at the pictures. It comes in a plain red sleeve with Trey's autograph. Labels on the vinyl say "TEST PRESSING.".

They held a raffle for theirs. Me and my daughter put our names in, they started playing the album at 7:30. By the time Clint Eastwood came on, guy walked up and handed it to me. We were the only ones who showed up last night!

Typically test pressings come in a plain white sleeve with a rather non-descript white label. A lot of times the white label will have the band and album hand written on them.

I do have quite a few test pressings that I know number over 100. Mostly given out as promo copies to radio stations. This was back in the day (late 80's/early 90's) when all albums came out on vinyl though (and 'normal' people still bought records).

Yeah I saw that some guy edited the discogs page. His reason was he thinks there are more than 12, no real source. Maybe we should email the record company?

i also scored one of these gems sorry boys no tradesies i'm getting mine framed. they also had it hidden in the willie nelson section but removed it when nobody could find it and did a contest for first person in the door that bought the CD got the vinyl fo FREEE!
