Saw toots and maytals last night at small upstate NY venue. All I really need to say is sweet and dandy! Go see this show and support a truly great hero who has scripted and shaped the soundtracks of our lives. The rainbow beams

@harroldHOOD said:Ok so this is more of a Toots show minus the maytals. Love Toots seen them a bunch now. They played UVM Springfest back in 05 with Gov't Mule and Soulive - their 'True Love' record is incredible. Its a bunch of their hits re-imagined with different artists like Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, Trey, Bootsy Collins, The Roots -- so many more. The album is sick and should be checked out by allis this an acoustic tour? why does every single tour date say acoustic next to it?A four time Grammy nominee, Toots & the Maytals won the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Reggae album with True Love. How the hell did I miss that one? I'm constantly glued to the shows coming through Buffalo/Niagara area.
I saw him about 3-5 years ago at the old TLA in Philly and he seemed to have lost a step.
I mean shit so did I since then.
The Toots I remeber was the hardest working man in show biz - he literally gave James Brown a ruin for his money. How was the energy - I noticed he was in Jamaica for Peter Tosh's Coronation of sorts. I will always love Toots
