The fifth annual "Wish You Were Here" benefit dinner will feature a performance of Pink Floyd's album "The Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety, 40 years after the classic record's original release. The band will include New York-based vocalists Johanna and Julie Corbalis, guitarists Jeff "Axlovin" Howard (founding member of “The McLovins”) and Matt Splain (from “Dirty Sanchez”), and saxophonist Eric DellaVecchia, bassist Mark Crino, and drummer Andy Chatfield (from “Stanley Maxwell”).

Glen Nelson (piano, organ, synth) has been added to this "all-star" band that will be performing Pink Floyd's album "The Dark Side of the Moon" on Saturday, March 23, 2013.
Glen has been a performer, singer, and songwriter all his life, and has been a public school music teacher for the last 15 years. In that time, Glen has released over 25 albums with his groups Spaghetti Cake and High Adventure, as well as Flipper Dave, Kevin Howard, and Mike Greca. He plays keys for Joe Barone and the Remedies, Duke and the Esoterics, and the Make-A-Wish All Stars. Glen has also spent the last 7 years as the organist at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harwinton, Connecticut.

This event is family friendly. I am meeting with the venue next week to go over the details, but I believe that this show will be all ages. I'll post again next week to let you know for sure, @superballin
@superballin this show will be 21+ unless you are with your parent or legal guardian.

Our sax player Eric DellaVecchia sat in with Kung Fu back in March 2010 at Stella Blues in New Haven. And Tim Palmieri has sat in several times with us over the years, including an opening slot for The New Deal back in 2003.
Oh my god if I still lived in CT I would so be there. Jeff is the f***ing man!
Any way I can get a recording of this?
Missing Connecticut right about now.

Vocalists Tiffany Feo and Jennifer Hill have been added to this "all-star" band that will be performing Pink Floyd's album "The Dark Side of the Moon" on Saturday, March 23, 2013:

Tiffany Feo previously sang with us on January 9, 2010 at Marinelli's Supper Club in Burlington, CT during our performance of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" album in its entirety. She also recently sang with the Lauren Pellegrino Band for a Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort.

Jennifer Hill is the front woman for indie piano rock band Jennifer Hill and Co. as well as the founder of Swan Day CT. She has been a part of the state's music and arts community since she was young, and trained classically at the University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music (as a Musical Theater Vocal Major), and at Fort Lewis in Colorado (as an Opera Major). Over the years she has become both a well known performer and mentor. As a songwriter, she has had her original songs in films, commercials and on the airwaves from Connecticut all the way to Dubai. In 2009, she won "Best Female Vocalist" in the Hartford Advocate; was nominated at the Connecticut Music Awards in 2012 as "Best Singer/Songwriter"; and as an activist for the arts has created an annual event that raises money for females in the industry and has helped to gain her global recognition. When she is not pursuing her own music, she is helping others to obtain their goals by teaching voice lessons, songwriting courses and piano instruction to people of all ages at her home studio. Jennifer Hill and Co. previously performed with "Stanley Maxwell" on November 21, 2009 at Zen Bar in Plainville, CT.

Ill try to make it. Coming from Waterbury, not that far.Awesome! Hope to see you there.
I saw Pink Floyd at the OLD Palace Theatre in Waterbury, around 1971 , I think. It had a very early quad sound system. They did "Dark side of the Moon" in it's entirety, Echoes, and more. Extrodaniary!
