not necessarily - his party is picking up senate seats, they might actually hit that filibuster-proof 60 finally. there are ways of bypassing the house. and besides, winning a second term will make some of those tea-baggers fall in line.

Its all good just been a long year of listening to a lot of you do this i do that i do this you can't do that. I'm tired need a long long nap after a major headache.

Edit:

BTW I really don't care which 1 won or wins. I don't like either however I would definitely not vote for Romney. I do have to listen to all the bitching now though about how this one won't do what this one would have. Over and over again the game still plays UGH! :)

The term doesnt just apply for landslides, its generally applied to any successful reelection to a second term. but you're right, the term is thrown around a bit loosely lately. still, the gop congress will have to come up with something to do with themselves besides "Deny Obama a second term" which is all they've been focusing on since the day he was sworn in. Their tactics of deliberately making the country worse off in the vain hope that it would result in a loss for Obama don't apply now. Now they have to actually do their jobs, and since most of them ran for Congress with the sole purpose of making Obama a one-termer, they don't know what the f*** their actual job is.

"I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain,' but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created."

I'm actually hoping Congress got the message loud and clear. They were not rewarded for trying to stall the President out of office. They actually lost by more then last time. It clearly didn't work. The people have spoken. If Congress learned anything from this, I hope it's to not try that again.

If they didn't learn anything then you are probably correct. I'll give them all a chance to start over.

walstib Despite the hand tying we've seen the last 4 years, I don't agree the country has been at a stand still.

Obamacare is huge progress in health care.

The economy is getting better. Not as quickly as anyone would like but we stopped the bleeding and started the way back up the curve. 4 more years like the last 2 1/2 would be fine with me. Had we continued to lose 800,000 jobs a month we would be way worse and at a stand still.

War in Iraq is over.

Auto industry is alive and well.

I cannot call all that stand still. They could have done so much more if Congress didn't have it's priority to remove Obama but I think it takes away from the mans first 4 years to call it a stand still.

HarrisonHood I think this election was clear statement from the American people that we won't bullied, lied to or bought. Williard as I like to call him is a pice of shit in magic under wear who f***ed up my state and claimed he did a great job. Then he thought he could buy the oval office the chutzpah on this f***ing guy.

Obama has done great things. Thats why I have his back and worked for him twice. I cried a little bit when he pulled it out in early hours of the morning. progress is good
four more years four more years
