Technically just about everything we call "dubstep", is actually "drum and bass" to the rest of the world. Actual dubstep is much different than bassnectar/pretty lights/skrillex.

I do know that when skrillex "plays" a show he's not doing anything but hitting a play button. All the knob turning and button mashing is for show. I.E. not live at all.

I would just hope that some decent electronic music can rise to the surface here in 'Merica. Rolling Stone did the EDM issue about this genre's 'explosion' a few months ago and either the Philly area is backwoods to the scene or else their reporting on EDM's newfound prominence was off target. There are many decent electronic artists/producers/DJ's out there.
