Via Relix"One story that has developed as of late is debate over a picture uploaded by Dan Kanter, the guitarist for Justin Bieber, featuring the Biebs and himself with Phish bassist Mike Gordon. While many people have speculated that the picture was simply Gordon taking his daughters out to a concert, recent developments have proven otherwise.
'Well, at first, it was just kind of a curiosity thing; but after we jammed with him for a short while [at Long Beach], we realized just how good a musician he really is,' said Gordon. 'I mean, he was picking up on even the most complex songs like 'Fluffhead' and 'Foam'; he also particularly enjoyed the tunes 'Possum' and 'Time Turns Elastic'.'
During an interview with Bieber, it was found that he would indeed be joining Phish for a set during their New Years Eve run at Madison Square Garden in December.

Based on all of the photos and news feed that has been pouring in about Phish and Justin Bieber, and the biebs incorporating Phish jams into his own shows, I honestly wouldn't doubt this for a moment.

This really upsets me because this is going to give Phish the wrong kind of publicity. I don't want more people to find out about Phish. I want them to stay under the radar.
