It was so cool at festival 8 when they did it. They obviously chose to stick with their songs that sort of "leaned" more towards being played acoustic, but it sounded so good when they finally branched out and played mcgrupp.

I would love to hear an acoustic set next summer with some of the classic tunes. YEM, Divided Sky, Fluffhead. It would be amazing.

Yes! I listened to this set a lot after I got my hands on it, but not much recently. I gave it a spin a week ago and was nicely surprised how good McGrupp is unplugged, or The Curtain With. I guess I just didn't remember how smooth and natural and Phishy that set sounds.

I wouldn't mind if they played one acoustic first set at each two-night stand next summer.

I think the acoustic set has potential, but I thought 8's was pretty predictable. The curtain w/ and mcgrupp were glaring exceptions. If they did another, I'd like to see them stick to stuff like that or guyute, which trey did well on his '99 tour.
