I watch the "Alaska shows" and they are pretty cool. TV is addictive, easy to get into the habit and it is hard to break. Next thing you know, you six packs gone and you d acquired a smell that cannot be washed off, you lose the pigment from your skin so that when you go outside you seem to glow electric white, people look at you and you can tell that they are; soon going out becomes a struggle, your ordering everything you need online and having food delivered so you won't miss your show.

I watch a lot of comedy but for amazing writing I go to: Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, The Walking Dead, Homeland, Game Of Thrones, and Treme. I think they are without a doubt the best shows on TV right now...

(People say Dexter and Sons Of Anarchy are amazing too but I could never get into them...)

HARDY BUCKS!!!!

Almost started a thread about this show the other day. Its basically an Irish TrailerPark Boys. The creators were big fans.

If you can zone in and understand their accents, the show is hysterical. A character known as The Viper is my favorite thing on Earth right now.

THIS page has the original 9 webisodes. Then the show got picked up by an Irish TV network and they sort of started over with better production. The first three episodes of season 1 are on that page too. I recommend watching the 9 episodes before delving into the network series but they're both high-larious.

The Wire like @johnnyD said. It is, IMO, far and away the best television show ever created. If you can get through the first few episodes of the 1st season, you will never look back. I only say this because the first few episodes of season 1 exist to basically introduce you to the main cast of characters since there are alot to keep track of.

People have some very odd tastes on here, lots of awesome shows mixed with odd ones. (Like Boardwalk Empire and Survivor for instance, I mean survivor, who the f*** watches that trash).

Heroes - Again, same as Prison Break, first couple seasons are great, they tail off at the end.

Pretty into Homeland right now. Game of Thrones is crack. The Wire, duh. Boardwalk Empire does the trick. No idea why they ever cancelled Deadwood. I think Breaking Bad is overrated but I've still seen every episode to date. Not a single Mad Men recommendation so far?

The writing on Mad Men is superb and so is the acting. As good as The Wire, possibly better. Breaking Bad also has top notch writing and acting. Justified is flippin awesomeness. I'm addicted to anything with the Arrested Development folks, Poehler and Fey. Parks and Rec makes me happy

Breaking Bad is a must watch if haven't given it a shot.
Game of Thrones is the next big HBO show if it is not already the biggest.
Arrested Development is my favorite comedy series.
And @steamstash said it right. If you haven't watched much South Park, I find that show hysterical. You can even watch every South Park episode for free online at southparkstudios.com

Also seems as if the next TV show I watch should be The Wire... I have not seen that yet.
