Moving sections in MSG

Irish41123 Permalink
Irish41123 Anyone know how easy it is to find a friend in another section during the show? I know moving around the same level (100s, 200s) is easy but how about moving from section 2 to 1 with the seats? Thanks everyone.

TheDeputy I've heard a couple stories about people dying, or going missing, after moving around/not following the rules and stuff at MSG. I remember a story from the 98 run. And I think from the 02 reunion show, too. Google it.

cactoid I have tickets in the moving section - I'm thinking its like hogwarts, where during the show a section will rise up and move from Fish side to Page side, which would really piss me off because I hate both of them

spanishmoon It's the easiest venue to move around in once your inside. Just go in wherever they let you and then you can move freely around the seats. There are really no ushers in by thee seats. They stand out by the concessions and check tickets there. So once your past them you can go wherever you want. There are no railings between the 200s and 100s. You can walk all the way down, you just won't be able to get on the floor.

Drgordy I just love when people decide to crowd the row I'm standing in because they think its ok for everyone else to be inconvenienced in order for them to hang with their friends or have a better view.

careful_w_that_axe_Miller Uh, I will be moving. It's GA or the street for me. Pretty confident that if I give into the flow it'll all work out.

spanishmoon Just found out I'm going to NYE! See you there! I never sit in my seat and I never sit in a crowded section. It's all about finding the right place.

@mrMillerahhhh if you want to get on the floor I will be happy to show you the way. It's the easiest venue to walk onto the floor. Almost no sneaking involved

Myself and a friend will take you up on this offer. We were thinking about getting there early so as to scope out the best way to do this, but I'm all ears.

I don't want to squeeze into anybody's rows and crowd people in the middle of said row. Last year, this same buddy and I spotted about 7 open seats in the first row in our section, so we just held them down until someone came and claimed their seats. No one ever came and we raged them the whole time. This is the general policy I follow when it comes to assigned seating.

The fact that it's a GA floor opens up new possibilities. I won't be forcing people to squeeze into their paid seats by invading an all-seating area.

I can assure you I didn't give you that -1. I wasn't sure whether or not you were being sarcastic, hence my serious response, but I certainly wouldn't down vote you for that comment.
