The weather here today is the exact opposite of what it was in Iowa 16 years ago.
Here's my review of the show...
Let us not forget a Happy Phish Day to @MrsDubya as well!!Doh! Thanks for picking up that slack.
It wasn't a very well circulated show at the time, or now for that matter.
I vividly remember the day when I got the aud cassette tapes of this show too. It wasn't until the summer of '97.What? Why didn't you just download it from LivePhish on your way home? nOOb.

it's a joke people
THIS WAS MY FIRST PHISH SHOW, as well!!! And damn, that was a nasty storm that night! Driving back to Iowa City from Ames took a lot longer than 2 hours with all the ice on the road. I wasn't too smart (not at all) back in those days...first Phish show, first time feeling part of something at a concert, much bigger than the concert itself... and first time ingesting a certain substance. Let's just say the car magically skated on its way home. Gracefully gliding on rainbow reflective sheet of ice.... Whee!!
Cheers to a fellow Iowan!
I was just in Iowa City on Saturday for the Hawkeye game. Had beers at Old Capitol Brew Works, pizza from Pagliai's, and stopped into the Konnexion to look at $600 bongs.
@FluffyApparatus very cool! We had a hotel room in Ames, I have no idea how we made it back there without crashing or getting picked up. It was a literal sheet of ice.Sorry you had to see the Hawks disappoint on Saturday again! Hasn't been the best season this year. Also, I will always look at $600 glass, but also always remind myself I will break it eventually too. ;-)

Give me a shout out next time you're in the IC.
