I've taken my girlfriend to night one at deer creek this past summer and she said it was incredible but it's nothing like after I saw my first show.. I listened to all the shows I could... I don't know maybe it'll take her one more show to finally "get it" but what's the best way to get somebody hooked on phonics? I mean phish.

If taking them to a show doesn't work, you can pretty much assume that they're an empty husk of a human with no personality and therefore, a lost cause. Take her deep into the woods and let her go, it's for her own good.

My ex has lost count of how many shows she has seen since '91, and she's psyched to be adding at least 3 to that total next month, but she never did the obsessive listening / collecting thing. That's usually the man's job.

don't force it on her. if she's willing to go to shows with you and has a good time plus she doesn't change the song when phish is playing then i think you have a keeper

You cant get somebody hooked, Its kind of something that does or doesnt happen. Some people I have introduced have become just as big as phans as myself, some dont get it and never want to go to a show again... Its not something I would ever push on someone if they didnt want to be a phan

Be patient. I saw 11.28.97 for my first show and I was blown away but I didn't really know what I had just seen. After I saw 4.4 and 4.5.98 as numbers 2 and 3 it was all over. Granted, I REALLY lucked out with the quality of my first three shows...

I took a buddy to Manchester 2010. He and I saw about 30 GD shows together from 87-91.We were on the floor 10 feet away from the stage Mike Side.
