i'll smoke to that! Life is good these days but just feel like nobody gets why I have to go to so many shows a year to recharge my batteries so I can deal with daily life...nothing else is quite a good to me as being in the crowd at a show...You hit the nail on the head for me.
Relax, release, recharge
If you mean this literally I feel kinda bad for you. I LOVE Phish and LOVE going to shows. Obviously, I spend most of my work day on a Phish fourm but there are so many other things that interest me. I would hate it if Phish was the only thing I could find joy in. I mean I get the sentiment in the thread but like I said hope nobody means it literally.
Too much of something ain't good for nobody, you better believe it.
That said I constantly listen to Phish, but Phish shows aren't the only thing I love doing. There sure as hell right up at the top but there's a lot of other things!

It's not just Phish. I had the time of my life at Umphrey's a week or so ago and planning on enjoying a little escape with Strangefolk this week. Real life has ups and downs. When I'm down nothing helps get me back up like some quality live music. That is why I signed on with OP. When I'm up nothing is more fun than riding that wave into and through a show.

This is the truth, I could never see myself doing a whole tour so to say I feel like it would be entirley too much of one thing although Phish shows are when im at my happiest. Theres other things that I do in my day to day life to escape hardships such as hike, photography, excersize ect... That being said phish is not the only thing I find happiness in but its the thing I find the MOST happiness in and I think its crucial to have a balanced set of activities that make you happy because too much of one thing isnt healthy

Signed? Sort of. Yeah I'd love to be at a show everyday. But like anything else you do too much of I'm sure it would lose a little of it's luster if that was for real.

I can assure you it is not too much of one thing. It is the gretest idea ever and you would be silly to not do it if you had the chance.

I really wish I was a fan in the early-mid 90's when they toured a ton. The whole 30 shows a year thing they have going on now really hurts those of us that don't live near the northeast.

Me too. NYE would be a dream come true. I need Phish to musically rearrange my brain.Ya'll are speaking my language today!
However, I agree that too much of one thing is not good for you. It makes it tough to 'cope' when it is not around (creates a dependency). I know some parts of life are shitty, but we have to learn to embrace it all (the yin/yang), manage it, and move forward, imo, instead of constantly trying to 'check out'.
I could definitely use more breaks from this reality thing.
I'd be dead by now
I feel it might ruin it for me. Too much of a good thing can be bad.And that is not to say I wouldn't enjoy every minute of being there, but part of what makes Phish such a special occasion to me at least is that I only get to see them a few times each year.
I feel having it every day would be gluttonous.
phishhh
Ive got a fever, and the only prescription is more Phish at MSG
Used to be a time when November was the month Phish would breath fire.
