Limestone would be awesome again. They really should get back there at least once in 3.0. It really isn't even an option, they must get back there. And yeah, it would coincide nicely with their 30th anniversary ... good enough excuse to me really. The last phestival I was was IT. This summer is 10 yrs since IT. Crazy. Do it Phish.

I didn't bother to look it up or anything, but I recall seeing on the .net a while back... somebody said the afb is now a commercial park/industrial park kind of thing. So, it's been developed and is being utilized. that's what somebody said, but I can not validate the accuracy. I'll google, perhaps...

After listening to Festivalography, leading up to Festival 8, I got the impression that they would never do a festival at a place like Limestone again.

I just exchanged e-mails with someone who asked not to be sourced, but is most definitely in a position to make this claim (excerpted at his request):...there is nothing about the site or current land uses ... that has changed so much that another concert would not be possible.Of course this doesn't mean anything, other than its not impossible to use the site again for a similar event.
He also included this as part of his response, which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
...and I also attended all 3 Phish concerts. These were spectacular events and many people in the surrounding area still talk about them, and I’m sure a return of Phish would be welcomed by the broader community.

I'd be all about VT *if* they can find a spot with manageable logistics, a la Indio or WG.That is a huge if up here. If they used highgate, 89 thru B-ton would be a huge bottleneck. No way around it. Well, of course there are ways around it, but the majority of people aren't gonna be taking the super h3tti3 old school in the know back roads.
Also, @sicmd, tell your people that limestone is an option. Just in case they didn't make the call.

I do not see Phish going back to Limestone. As their fanbase is a bit older now, many people like to have hotel or rental options instead of festival camping.

Ive been seeing them for 15 years i dont give a f where i sleep, hotel, floor, field etc... Mind you im also former military and could sleep through a war. However i realize there afe phans that have 10-15 years on me. My response to them, suck it the F up, bring an RV, AND LETS RAGE!!!!!!

Why would anyone want to spend 12-18 hours in traffic when they have found much more accessible venues to play? Although I do not think they would draw the kind of crowd that caused such traffic the three times they were there. I've been to Limestone twice and would like to leave it in the past.
