While The Mockingbird Foundation's focus is usually on our charitable mission of helping disadvantaged kids with music education programs (or keeping Phish.net online), occasionally we receive a plea for a distressed fan to be helped by the Phish.net community after a personal tragedy. Accordingly, we are posting this item from @UncleEb:

Hey y'all-

Longtime lurker and not an active poster over here, but use the site often and I feel compelled to share this time.

Many of you know my good buddy Monsta, a longtime phan and lot staple in the NY area. Dude is a kind-hearted soul and I know he's practiced many random acts of kindness - handing out free records (he sent a stranger a sealed copy of rift just because they asked for one), posters, roses or stickers just because he wants to brighten their day. Well, his house burned down on Monday night and in a just world, that kindness should be directed back his way.

He lost his amazing collection of art, a terrific collection of pins and kicks in the fire - not to mention everything else that makes a home.

And he shared the house with a wonderful family of 4, including two young boys - 5 & 2. The dad(who is also a longtime phan) built the home within the last decade and had to watch it burn down. Coupled with other misfortune and the holidays, it's a rough time right now.

Wonderful people have been asking me what they can do for help..right now we are mostly concerned for my pham and there 2 kids ages 2 (trey) and 5 (peter) they are in need of clothes and some toys..there sizes are 2T and 5T.. donations can be sent to:
