Anyone know much more about how much damage was done? I'd imagine that the state of the amphitheater will be alright come summer.

This came to mind when I turned on a JB show to listen to.

They should start beer sales to pay for the damage.

I grew up on Long Island and spent countless summer days and nights at JB. As much as I don't care for the venue, I live in Long Beach which is only 15 mins away so the convenience factor is great. I've seen many shows there...too many to name. That said...people's homes and livelihoods were either completely or partially destroyed by Irene. I understand that JB is federal land but the residents and taxpayers should be a priority before rebuilding the amphitheater.

Irene? I thought it was sandy ?

Yes, I agree with you. The homes that were destroyed should be the first priority. They should come before anything else. We can wait for the amphitheater to be fixed.
