By far my favorite Free. This crazy second set was highlighted by an hour-long lightning show, which the band had a lot of fun with. Such a great night, out in the lawn section. Right as the encore started...rain. A shitload of rain.

As always, I'm w/ the 7/23/99 crowd. I was with in spitting distance of page the whole show and this 2nd set blew my mind. Trey looked absolutely menacing during free.Either way, summer '99 was a good tour for free.

Great list. A Free jamming chart should also include 6/26/95, segued out of DWD. Crazy stuff.If you like 6/17/04, take a listen to 2/21/03 Cincy, 7/22/03 Deer Creek and 6/26/04 Alpine. More of that great Cactus riffage.
It's been a while since Phish jammed out Free, but it's still a good tune. My 3.0 favorites include 11.18.09, 6.26.10, 8.5.10, 10.12.10, 5.28.11, 8.9.11, and 6.8.12.

Does anyone know where to find a high quality version of the 6.30.99 show? I got mine from phishows.com and there is a lot of clipping throughout the whole show. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

6/30/99 for the purest emotion and best reprise of the refrain. Free's from '99 are great mostly due to Treys' key exploration...
