Saw Neil and Crazy Horse Last night

cactoid Permalink
cactoid GA Floor allowed me to get 20 feet from them. I was completely, utterly dumbfounded by their insane rockage.

Go see them if at all possible. There are more shows on the schedule. They blew me away. Force of nature; every bit as intense as you'd expect - like stepping into a time machine set to Live Rust.

Phish is wonderful and all, but Neil has something they can't even touch.

10/10, A+, DIAF, etc.

I've seen him 3 times this tour, and I truly cant believe how f***ing incredible he is. Personally, Walk Like a Giant is the highlight of the show for me. The feedback-drenched ending is absolutely sublime. Plus, this might be the last time he ever does a loud feedback Live Rust type tour, since this completes the Rust, Weld, and now Alchemy trilogy. Glad you had a good time.

Show was great. I just had the WORST crowd around me of any concert I have ever been to. I guess it speaks to how good the show was that I actually still had a great time despite being heckled the ENTIRE show by 50-60 something year olds telling me to sit down and get out of there way. Obviously I did not. They said its because they are old. I said not as old as HIM and hes not sitting down (pointing to Neil). This will be my last Neil Young show for that reason. SOOO uptight. I cant even begin to explain how much these people were NOT willing to have a good time. at all. Loge 11. BLOW ME.

People in the audience were making confused faces when he opened with the Canadian anthem...no joke. Born in Ontario did get some cheers though. A couple weeks ago I saw the Pumpkins and Corgan mentioned Toronto and the entire placed erupted in boo's.

TheDeerman They killed it in Chicago back in October, too (also got really close on the GA floor). He won't fade away, it's like he's made some promise to to play utterly incredible music until he physically can't anymore. I am perpetually drawn to his story, his thoughts, his experiences, and his radical way of looking at life. Neil's one of my biggest influences in everything that I do. I thank God I got to see him live and feel the magic of being in the same room as him.

It was thunderous and a complete riotous shredding of power chords and distortion. The low end was vibrating glass in our section. A beautifully constructed show and even more amazing that a man of Neil's age can push like that. I could see that exact same show again and be happy. Patti Smith to open was a bonus and her voice has held up well. Bravo to the 70 year olds that can still out rock the kids! The sound was not weak in the Gahden last night.

Yes, man.

Its like you're going to see your hero, building him up in your mind and worshiping him as a rock god, and when you finally see him he is as wonderful as you ever imagined, and more

I feel blessed

Tedeschi Trucks Band puts on a great show... you won't be disappointed and she is every bit as good as he is at getting the audience up and on their feet rockin' the place!
