Colors match up with the current seating chart. Sections 1, 2, 3 are just out of frame a the bottom of the picture. This was taken from Sec 101.
Seems like the floor is an entirely separate entrance. Could not see if wristbands were required, but I am hearing 2 diff type of wristbands (East/West). There is a way to get to the floor from the middle sides of the 100s, but I never saw a single person go that way... it appeared to be reserved for staff. Almost positive you can not enter the floor from within the concert area, you must enter from a separate entrance once inside one of the "Towers" (A,B,C,D). East (back) GA Floor was a lot smaller than expected. The West (front) GA Floor is quite large... hard to tell from the picture.
There used to be a walkway behind the now "100" section (formerly 100/200) and in front of the now "200" section (formerly 300). The allowed fairly easy access to any 100,200, 300 section you wanted. Essentially a free-roam pathway that would take you nearly all the way around the venue.
This is no longer the case. There are no barriers blocking 100 Level navigation, but there are also no open pathways. You can only switch 100 Level sections by going through rows of seats or going out to concession area and back in. The back of the 100 level section has a barrier that leads to handicap sections and boxes.
The 200 section makes up most of the rest of the place. This was essentially previously the "300" level. There appears to be an open walkway behind this section (above the red square on the image). This allows somewhat easy free-roam around the back of the 200s. This walkway is only on the two sides, not at the front or back of the stage.
400s and West Balc (WBALC) are behind the stage and slightly higher up than the 200 section. It also appears that these sections are free roam.
As usual, security is posted up at every section but became very lax throughout the concert. After the first night of Phish I am sure thing will loosen up nicely.
Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Any additional word on the GA Admissions area? I'm really hoping to use a buddies GA ticket as like a pass back or something to get down there. I'm starting to think that this just isn't going to work.
Good work, young jedi

I had floor last year for 12/29 - they made you go through a totally different entrance for floor. It was tight as far as security making sure you were in the right place.Last night GA tix had to go through an entrance on Eighth Ave and 33rd. All others went in the "usual" entrance on Seventh and 32nd, near the ticket booths.

to be honest other then shitty audio and awful visual cotact with the band whats up in the 400's, padded seats? smeelly wooks only? i mean if msg is sold out there's gotta be a ton of people up thereCraft beer! And good concessions. Brand new. Last year I went up there to chill in the beginning because my seat was up there. There are nice stools on a counter that faces the back of the stage. Good spot to catch a breather and a decent brew, in my opinion. Also, I bought a water, and upon the concession lady opening it, she took my top and put it on the counter and proceeded to get my change. As her back was turned, I took my top back for my water. Made my night so much better.

How is Section 2? I'm there two of the nights!
@Friedmann - I am a big believer in Section 2 being one of the best spots in the house. You are right behind the soundboard, slightly elevated above the floor. You can see the video cameras working the stream, CK working the lights, etc...
You also get a perfect wide shot of the entire venue and light show. Sec2 is superb for sure. The ONLY thing "bad" is that some taper rigs or other things near the SBD may slightly obstruct your view, but this is really no big deal.

I open them and kinda bounce-ish when BDTNL plays.
I'm stoked either way! This will be my first time attending the NYE shindig!

@Friedmann - 102 is also a great one. This is basically the same thing only closer and lower.
What variety of bottled water do they sell? I need to smuggle a cap in.
Here's the real recon question:This is a great question. If nobody answers, I'd imagine you could find a Knicks forum and ask there.

It wouldn't surprise me if PT already had a fully developed marketplace going on the caps.
Definitely Dasani. MSG has a contract with Coca Cola.

Of Course at Phish people will be standing but believe me, the 200's are literally shoulder to shoulder with no room to move at all. Also you can barely walk in the aisles or rows. It's crammed up in there.

For Section 2 tickets, they are listed as Possible Obstructed/Limited View. I'm guessing this just refers to the tapers rigs being in your view? Can anyone confirm/deny
@Friedmann - It really isn't obstructed. Possibly the first few rows are moreso because of the soundboard, but that is it. The only thing in front of you is the soundboard+taper rigs. Really does not block much/anything.
